Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for accessing to a medium by a station (STA) in a wireless LAN system, the method comprising the steps of: receiving a predetermined frame including a time stamp; identifying a restricted access window (RAW) assignment field included in the predetermined frame; and performing access in a slot determined on the basis of a subfield of the RAW assignment field when the STA belongs to a RAW related to the RAW allocation field, wherein whether the STA belongs to the RAW is determined by whether an association identifier (AID) of the STA is included in a AID range and the RAW assignment field includes a subfield indicating whether the AID range is determined by a TIM bitmap.
Abstract:
The present invention provides definition of an identifier which is required for recognizing information essential for device to device communication, a transmission method thereof, and devices that support the same. The method for supporting device to device (D2D) communication in a wireless access system that supports D2D communication as one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of allowing a first D2D device to receive, from a base station, a broadcast message which contains a common D2D identifier (C-D2D-RNTI) for all D2D devices that perform D2D communication; and allowing the first D2D device to receive the transmitted D2D-related information by using the C-D2D-RNTI. In this situation, the wireless access system can support both D2D communication and cellular communication for a normal terminal instead of the D2D device.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to various methods and devices that receive and update system information that is used for machine-to-machine (M2M) communication in a wireless connection system supporting the machine-to-machine communication. As an embodiment of the present invention, the method of receiving system information on an M2M instrument from the wireless connection system supporting the M2M may include: receiving, at the M2M instrument, a first secondary superframe header subpacket (S-SFH SP 3) 3 message that includes information on a transmission period during which a second S-SFH SP 3 message including M2M-dedicated ranging information is transmitted; receiving, at the M2M instrument, the second S-SFH SP 3 message on the basis of the transmission period information; and receiving, at the M2M instrument, a system configuration descriptor message that includes updated system information, when the M2M-dedicated ranging information in the second S-SFH SP 3 shows that system information on M 2M is updated.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for converting, by a station (STA), a non-traffic indication map (TIM) mode into a TIM mode and performing channel-accessing. According to the present invention, a station that does not receive a TIM or DTIM is to be switched so as to operate between a wakeup mode and a sleep mode for power saving. In order to set an efficient wakeup time, the STA may listen to beacon frame information from an AP and access a channel through information included in the beacon frame information.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, to a method and a device for transmitting and receiving a traffic indication map (TIM) in a wireless LAN system. The method by which a station (STA) receives a TIM element in a wireless LAN system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving a frame that includes the TIM element from an access point (AP); and decoding a partial virtual bitmap included in the TIM element, wherein one block of the partial virtual bitmap includes one or more association identifier difference value (ΔAID) fields, and a field subsequent to the one or more ΔAID fields can indicate an end of the one block.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for updating a listen interval in a wireless communication system. To this end, a method for updating a listen interval by a station (STA) of a wireless communication system may comprise, if an operation mode of the station is changed, a request frame including information indicating that the operation mode of the station is changed, to an access point (AP); and receiving a response frame in response to the request frame from the AP. If a value of a listen interval of the station is changed as the operation mode of the station is changed, the request frame further include a value of a new listen interval of the station.
Abstract:
A channel access method in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for supporting the same are disclosed. Particularly, the method comprises the steps of: transmitting a beacon frame containing a traffic indication map (TIM); and receiving a power pave (PS)-poll frame within a PS-Poll section set in a station (STA), to which downlink data is designated by the TIM, from the STA, wherein the PS-Poll section can be set differently for each STA within the entire PS-Poll section set in all STAs, to which downlink data is designated by the TIM.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for transmitting a signal of an access point (AP), comprising the steps of receiving a first frame from a first STA; and transmitting a second frame including a response to the first frame to the first STA, wherein the second frame induces the transmission of a third frame for the first STA to make the second STA set a network allocation vector (NAV), and the second STA is an STA unable to sense the AP.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods for efficiently performing device to device synchronization and device identification in a device to device communication system, and devices for supporting the methods. The method for supporting device to device synchronization and identification in a wireless access system that supports device to device communication according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: allowing a first device to broadcast a RACH signal for device to device synchronization in a peer discovery section; allowing the first device to receive a first response message transmitted from a second device as a response to the RACH signal; and transmitting a message including device identification information for the first device to the second device.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for updating system information in a wireless LAN system. A method for a station (STA) to update system information in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: if the value of a change sequence field received by the STA from an access point (AP) is different from the value of the change sequence field stored in the STA, transmitting, to the AP, a probe request frame including the change sequence field set to the value of the change sequence field stored in the STA; and a step of receiving, from the AP, a probe response frame responding to the probe request frame including the change sequence field.
