    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment determine that a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) communication, scheduled by an uplink grant, and a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) communication, corresponding to a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) communication scheduled by a downlink grant, are scheduled to overlap in one or more symbols; determine a threshold time based at least in part on an earliest scheduled starting time of the PUSCH communication or the PUCCH communication; selectively multiplex the PUSCH communication and the PUCCH communication based at least in part on whether the uplink grant, the downlink grant, and the PDSCH communication are received before the threshold time; and transmit the PUSCH communication, the PUCCH communication, or both the PUSCH communication and the PUCCH communication based at least in part on the selective multiplexing. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Systems and methods providing for dynamic switching between the various waveforms on the downlink are described. Embodiments of a dynamic downlink waveform switching implementation may, for example, support utilization of one or more multiple carrier (MC) waveform (e.g., OFDMA) or other high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) waveform and one or more SC (SC) waveform (e.g., discrete Fourier transform-spread-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFT-S-OFDM)) or other low PAPR waveform. Dynamic selection of a downlink waveform may be made by an access point based upon various metrics, including relative distance to a served an access terminal and the preference of downlink waveform indicated by a served an access terminal. A downlink waveform selection indication may be signaled from the access point to the served an access terminal using downlink control information (DCI).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems (e.g., new radio (NR) wireless communications systems), a base station may serve a large number of user equipment (UEs). The base station may allocate uplink control channel resources to the UEs using a limited number of bits by implementing explicit and implicit resource mapping. Explicit mapping may involve determining certain indicated resources based on a received set of bits, and implicit mapping may involve determining a resource indication from a characteristic of a transmission (e.g., a starting control channel element (CCE) for a downlink control information (DCI) transmission). A UE may determine an allocated uplink control channel resource for transmission based on the combination of the two types of indications. Additionally, the UE may implement one or more techniques for handling colliding resource allocations (e.g., acknowledgement (ACK), channel quality indicator (CQI), or scheduling request (SR) resource allocations).

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify a transmit power control (TPC) command, associated with the UE, based at least in part on group power control downlink control information (DCI); and determine a loop index associated with the TPC command, wherein the loop index identifies a power control loop, of a plurality of power control loops, for the TPC command. In some aspects, the UE may apply the TPC in association with transmitting an uplink communication, wherein a time gap between receiving the group power control DCI and applying the TPC command is based at least in part on a capability value associated with the UE, or a delay value signaled to the UE.
