Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting adaptive video in real time using a content-aware neural network are disclosed. At least one embodiment provides a method performed by a server for transmitting an adaptive video in real time by using content-aware deep neural networks (DNNs), including downloading a video, encoding a downloaded video for each of at least one resolution, dividing an encoded video into video chunks of a predetermined size, training the content-aware DNNs by using encoded video, generating a configuration or manifest file containing information on trained content-aware DNNs and information on the encoded video, and transmitting the configuration file upon a request of a client.

Here, a method of quantifying severity of infectious disease based on a vision transformer includes receiving an input CXR image; extracting a feature map from the received input CXR image using a pretrained neural network; classifying a lesion in the input CXR image using the vision transformer based on the extracted feature map; and quantifying severity of the input CXR image based on the extracted feature map and the classified lesion.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for quantitation of microcirculation in a subject, in which a functional capillary ratio is calculated from a plurality of motion images of target factors over time in a first blood stream passing through the capillaries of the subject, and to an apparatus for measuring microcirculation in a subject. The present disclosure also relates to a method for providing information on microcirculatory disorder in a subject, in which a dynamic element in target factors is analyzed from a plurality of motion images of the target factors over time in a second blood stream passing through the capillaries of the subject, and an apparatus for diagnosis of microcirculatory disorder in a subject. The present disclosure also relates to a composition for prevention or treatment of lung injury, which contains an inhibitor against the expression or activity of macrophage-1 antigen (Mac-1) in neutrophils within pulmonary capillaries and alleviates microcirculatory disorder in the lung, a screening method, and a method for providing information for diagnosis of lung injury and disorder. The composition according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can inhibit the expression or activity of macrophage-1 antigen in neutrophils within pulmonary capillaries to allow erythrocyteserythrocytes to smoothly pass through the pulmonary capillary, whereby gas exchange is increased in a subject suffering from pulmonary microcirculatory disorder and, thus, the microcirculatory disorder in the lung can be alleviated. Thus, the composition exhibits excellent effect as a composition for prevention or treatment of lung injury.

Abstract: Provided is a computer system for providing a tactile interface for a real-time two-dimensional (2D) tactile input/output interaction of a visually impaired person and an operating method thereof. The computer system may be configured to generate a tactile output corresponding to 2D visual information for a first body surface of a user through a tactile output module that is in contact with the first body surface, sense a tactile input for a second body surface of the user through a tactile input module, and generate a control signal for the 2D visual information based on the tactile input. Here, one of the first body surface and the second body surface may be a ventral surface of one body portion of the user, and the other one of the first surface and the second body surface may be a dorsal surface corresponding to the ventral surface in the one body portion.

Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for localizing a multichannel sound signal. The method includes: obtaining a multichannel sound signal to which sense of elevation is applied by applying a first filter to an input sound signal; determining at least one frequency range of a dynamic cue according to change of a head-related transfer function (HRTF) indicating information regarding paths from a spatial location of an actual speaker to ears of an audience; and applying a second filter to at least one sound signal, corresponding to the determined at least one frequency range, of at least one channel in the multichannel sound signal to change the at least one sound signal so as to remove or to reduce the dynamic cue when the multichannel sound signal is output.
