Abstract: The present invention proposes a rapid, reliable data extraction method for extracting data from a database of data (3) that is watermarked according to a reversible watermarking method. The method according to the invention consists of obtaining, from a first extraction request received from a client terminal (1), a second extraction request (R2) for extracting watermarked data and a third request (R3) applied to the extracted data after it has been de-watermarked. In the presence in the first extraction request of initial selection conditions relating to watermarked properties, these are included in the second request after having been transformed. In the presence in the first extraction request (R1), of aggregation functions relating to a watermarked extraction property, these are included without modification in the third request (R3) so as to supply a result to the client terminal (1) in response to the first extraction request (R1).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable storage media are disclosed for generating enriched light sources by utilizing surface-centric representations of three-dimensional surfaces. Specifically, the disclosed system utilizes a surface-centric re-parameterization that combines geometric and algebraic components of a sphere to model different light source types in a continuous range of lighting configurations. The disclosed systems utilize a set of intuitive parameters to determine a shape and emission parameters for generating an enriched light source. Additionally, the disclosed system provides a set of interactive light source controls to modify a position, orientation, shape, emittance, and lighting attenuation over distance of a light source within a three-dimensional environment. The disclosed system determines the light source controls based on sets of three-dimensional interaction primitives to control one or more parameters of the light source. The disclosed system provides the light source controls for consistently modifying various light source types within the three-dimensional environment.

Abstract: Method for estimating the number of people present within a given geographical area, with at least a portion of the people being equipped with cellular terminals that communicate according to at least two predefined communication standards. The method includes the steps of: (a) using a traffic analysis on the one or more networks present in the predefined area, carried out using at least one traffic analyzer located in the area and with a range chosen according to the area to be covered, detecting, for each of the standards, at least one indicator that represents the activity of a terminal on the network(s) and operating according to at least the same standard, (b) deducing the indicators thus detected, counting the number of cellular terminals present in the area, (c) estimating the number of people present in the area, using at least one law of correlation between the number of cellular terminals thus counted and the corresponding number of people present in the area.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a membrane, which includes at least the following steps of: preparing a mixture that contains at least an aqueous solution of a cationic polymer whose pH is between 5 and 8, the cationic polymer having positively-charged groups in this aqueous solution, and an aqueous solution of an anionic polymer, the anionic polymer having negatively-charged groups in this aqueous solution; stirring the mixture; leaving the mixture to mature to cause the ionic interaction between positively-charged groups of the cationic polymer and negatively-charged groups of the anionic polymer, until obtaining within the mixture a membrane in the form of a hydrogel; adding at least one crosslinking agent so as to crosslink the membrane; drying the crosslinked membrane obtained upon completion of the previous step. This membrane is used for the treatment of liquid or gaseous effluents, as well as an antimicrobial support or for heterogeneous catalysis.

Abstract: A method and device to modulate an FBMC/OQAM signal, the device comprising at least one QAM mapper mapping a binary stream into complex symbols, a first and a second transmission chain. Each chain comprises: a precoder transposing respective sets of symbols into frequency domain real/imaginary samples, a phase rotator applying a phase quadrature keying to said samples, an FBMC modulator to modulate the output of the phase rotator into an FBMC symbol. The device further comprises an adder of the output of the first transmission chain with a delayed output of the second transmission chain, and is configured to insert guard interval sequences into the binary stream or into the symbols processed by the precoders. Abstract: The disclosure describes one or more embodiments of systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that utilize a sharpness map that includes information on how to filter a displacement map on a per-texel basis to preserve sharp features while sampling a displacement map. For instance, the disclosed systems utilize a sharpness map that encodes combinable patterns to represent discontinuities of features within a displacement map. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems generate a sharpness map having texels encoded with discontinuity configurations that are referenced to control filtering (e.g., via interpolation) of a displacement map such that sharp features within the displacement map are not lost (due to smoothing during interpolation). For example, the disclosed systems filter feature values of a displacement map using discontinuities identified within a sharpness map to interpolate when the feature value(s) and a sampling point are identified as being on the same side of a discontinuity.

Abstract: A decoder for determining an estimate of a vector of information symbols carried by a signal received through a transmission channel represented by a channel matrix is provided. The decoding metric is lower than or equal to a decoding metric threshold. A processor among the two or more processors is configured to determine at least a candidate vector from candidate sub-vectors stored in the first stack, the candidate vector being associated with a cumulated decoding metric and to update the decoding metric threshold from the cumulated decoding metric.

Abstract: A system and method for assigning users to a particular sub band in a given time slot in a NOMA system, where whichever pair of users corresponds to the smallest “candidate pair user throughput deviation value”, reflecting the aggregate of the respective difference between the average throughput across all users (K) and the known throughput of each of the two users under consideration (k1k2), and each user attributed to a sub-band other than the selected sub-band. User pairs for consideration may consider all possible pairs, or may be limited to candidate pairs satisfying together, or comprising one or both users who satisfy a criterion such as channel gain, distance to a target, throughput or a combination of some or all of these factors. The power allocated to each sub-band may be attributed by a waterfilling algorithm.
