    摘要： A vehicle wheel is of a three-piece sandwich type and high in accuracy and rigidity and can be manufactured less expensively and more efficiently. The radially outer portions of the flanges of an inner rim part and an outer rim part, which constitute a rim assembly for supporting a tire, are located in contact with each other outside the peripheral edge of a disk in the radial direction thereof so that the portions constitute a butted part. The rim parts are clamped to each other by bolts and nuts in such a manner that the radially inner portions of the flanges pinch the flange of the disk on both the sides of the latter flange. The butted part is provided with a welding seal on the peripheral surfaces of the flanges of the rim parts.

    摘要： A device for sealing joining surfaces of a split rim in a wheel. The split rim comprises an outboard rim and an inboard rim. A joining surface of the outboard rim is formed at its outer periphery with an annular recess of L-shaped section. The annular recess has a bottom surface formed at its base portion with a peripheral groove which receives therein an inner periphery of a seal ring. A joining surface of the inboard rim has at its outer peripheral portion an annular projection of a stepped-like section. The depth of the annular recess is shorter than the sum of the diameter of the seal ring and the thickness of the inner annular projection.

    摘要： A collapsible wheel rim structure adapted to support an inflated tire including a rim formed from pivotally mounted rim sections, and an internal plate support for the rim which fits into an internal track on the rim. The disc is formed from sections slidably mounted together which when fully extended enclose the area within the rim and support the rim. Supplementary rim support can be provided with collapsible cross-bars which fit into prongs on the internal surface of the rim so that the cross-bars extend across the internal diameter of the rim.

    摘要： A rim for a pneumatic tire carcass has a pair of rim portions which are securable together to form such rim. One rim portion is integral with a wheel hub and includes a plurality of pockets or guide openings formed therein. The other rim portion includes guide members which correspond to these pockets and which are positionable therein to position the rim portions relative to each other. Apparatus for separating the rim portions with the tire carcass mounted on them is disclosed, as is apparatus for pulling the tire carcass off a rim portion after the other rim portion has been separated therefrom. In another embodiment, a pair of rim portions are assembled by positioning posts fixed on one rim portion into angled slots defined by the other rim portion, and rotating one rim portion relative to the other, the posts being drawn into the slots during such rotation to draw the rim portions together. In yet another embodiment, the tire carcass is supplied with an inner peripheral stiffener, which is seatable in a groove formed by a pair of fixed-together rimmed portions to center the tire carcass thereon. Also, another embodiment includes an annular plate and rim portions mounted in spaced relationship on either side thereof.
