摘要: Systems and methods for managing a network are described. A view of current state of the network is maintained where the current state of the network characterizes network topology and network constituents, including network entities and network elements residing in or on the network. Events are announced that correspond to changes in the state of the network and one or more network elements can be configured accordingly. Methods for managing network traffic are described that ensure forwarding and other actions taken by network elements implement globally declared network policy and refer to high-level names, independently of network topology and the location of network constituents. Methods for discovering network constituents are described, whereby are automatically configured. Routing may be performed using ACL and packets can be intercepted to permit host to continue in sleep mode. The methods are applicable to virtual environments.

摘要: A discovery computing system may receive an account identifier (ID) and a set of credentials required to access a first service account. The discovery computing system may transmit a first API query to a remote computing system. The discovery computing system may receive an organization identifier (ID) of the organization from the remote computing system. The discovery computing system may further transmit a second API query to the remote computing system. The discovery computing system may be further configured to receive information about a set of projects, in the organization, from the remote computing system. The discovery computing system may further generate a set of service accounts and further determine the set of resources, in the remote computing system, associated with each of the generated set of service accounts. The discovery computing system may further store the determined set of resources, as configuration items in a persistent storage.

摘要: In one embodiment, a system for managing communication connections in a virtualization environment includes a plurality of host machines implementing a virtualization environment, wherein each of the host machines includes a hypervisor, at least one user virtual machine (user VM), and a distributed file server that includes file server virtual machines (FSVMs) and associated local storage devices. Each FSVM and associated local storage device are local to a corresponding one of the host machines, and the FSVMs conduct I/O transactions with their associated local storage devices based on I/O requests received from the user VMs. Each of the user VMs on each host machine sends each of its respective I/O requests to an FSVM that is selected by one or more of the FSVMs for each I/O request based on a lookup table that maps a storage item referenced by the I/O request to the selected one of the FSVMs.

摘要: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which is stored machine readable instructions. The instructions may cause the processor to receive a call request for a cloud-based service and retrieve a first policy corresponding to the cloud-based service, the first policy identifying a policy reroute. The instructions may also cause the processor to determine which second policy of a plurality of second policies that corresponds to the policy reroute and retrieve the second policy that the corresponds to the policy reroute. The instructions may further cause the processor to apply the second policy on the cloud-based service and respond to the call request following the application of the second policy.

摘要: Disclosed methods include sending, from a resource manager, network configuration information to each of one or more managed resources. The network configuration information may include an IP address for the resource manager, an IP address for each of the managed resources, and a predetermined timeout value. Network configurations for the resource manager and the one or more managed resources may then be set after which each managed resource may start a timer with the predetermined timeout value. If the resource manager detects successful completion of each of the network configuration operations, the resource manager may send a stop timer command to each of the managed resources. If a timeout occurs, the timeout will inform each of the managed resources that the change in network configuration was not entirely successful. The resource manager and each of the managed resources will then restore their network configurations to their previous configurations.

The method includes determining at the global network manager a minimum compatibility version of the object that is a largest minimum virtualized networking version associated with the one or more properties. The method includes determining a span associated with the object, where the span includes one or more local network managers. The method includes, based on the minimum compatibility version and the span, synchronizing the object at each of the one or more local network managers or determining not to synchronize the object at each of the one or more local network managers.
