摘要:
A particulate material conveyor uses an endless loop that has a feed path arranged near a bottom of a load of material to be fed and a return path arranged above the feed path and within the load where the return path is protected by a cover. Material can flow under the cover onto the feed path without filling the return path under the cover. A spinner can be combined with a conveyor to form a spreader, and the conveyor and the spinner can be driven by a single motor through reduction drives. The spreader components are mounted on a sprocket drive shaft to pivot between deployed and stowed positions.

A system includes a solid feed pump configured to transport a solid feedstock. The solid feed pump includes at least one passage for the transport of the solid feedstock. The solid feed pump also includes at least one movable wall configured to move along the passage. The solid feed pump further includes a retractable gripping element configured to extend from the at least one movable wall into the at least one passage to grip a portion of the solid feedstock. In addition, the retractable gripping element is configured to retract away from the at least one passage.

A method and apparatus for the high volume loading of produce or other material into a bulk container such as a truck or rail car. The invention includes an endless belt driven across the opening of a hopper, and a driven rotor assembly utilizing a series of semi-flexible loops to urge the material to be loaded into engagement with the belt. The radially disposed portions of these loops provides an essentially continuous yet flexible circumferential surface for contact with the material being moved. The cooperation of these loops with the belt gives the flexibility to accommodate various sizes of material, and yet provide sufficient contact with the material to forcefully and accurately propel it from a discharge chute into the bulk container.

A belt conveyor and a crushing unit includes a conveying upper run presenting a feed end and a discharge end, and a return lower run, with the conveying upper end including a curved extension, which is concave and ascending and presents an inlet lower portion and an outlet upper portion of the conveying upper run, where the belt conveyor imparts to the material a path that is substantially coplanar and opposite in relation to that imparted to the material in the inlet portion, and with ascending curved path presenting at a determined belt speed, a centrifugal force sufficient to maintain the material seated against the curved extension of the conveying upper run until reaching the discharge end.

A bulk product stabilization conveyor 10 is described having a continuous-length wide belt 30 extending in an upper flight 44 and in a lower flight 46 between an infeed end 32 and an outfeed end 34. The outfeed end 34 is elevationally below the infeed end 32 and the distance between the infeed end 32 and outfeed end 34 is such that the upper flight 44 is slack with the upper flight forming a dynamic catenary profile as it is being driven at a high velocity in excess of 400 feet per minute and preferably between 400-800 feet per minute. The upper flight 44 has an inclined downward and forward section 52 adjacent the infeed end that has an inclination of between 30 and 45 degrees to initially receive a wide swath of articles from an article feeder 14. The upper flight 44 has an intermediate section 54 with a progressively decreasing radius of curvatures to progressively apply an increasing centrifugal force on the articles to stabilize the articles on the high velocity upper flight. The upper flight 44 has an inclined upward section 56 adjacent the outfeed end 34 to propel the articles from the outfeed end to an optical inspection station 36 with an upward and forward trajectory 68.

The invention provides a self-propelled fully operational loose bulk material slinger in a vehicle equipped to be driven. A slinger and hopper is mounted on a chassis supported by a triangular arrangement of road wheels. Individual powering of two road wheels, one on each side of the chassis, allows self-powered mobility and the road wheels can be steered for directional release of a material being stockpiled. A third small road wheel attached to swivel, balances the vehicle and can be retracted and extended to angle the vehicle for increasing and decreasing trajectory height of material being stockpiled. An engine and a hydraulic system provides mobility and mechanical adjustability to the vehicle. A stand-on control station allows the slinger vehicle according to the invention to be fully controlled by a single operator.

An arrangement for the essentially uniform level placement of bulk material in an upright circular cylindrical vessel. The arrangement includes a throwing device for throwing the bulk material into the vessel. A feeding device feeds the bulk material onto the throwing device. The throwing device is rotatably mounted about a vertical axis, the rate of rotation of throwing means being controllable. The throwing device includes an essentially horizontally extending endless conveyor belt. The length of the conveyor belt is relatively short in relation to the diameter of the vessel. The conveying speed of the conveyor belt is controllable within a range from a minimum speed for throwing the bulk material into the center region of the vessel and a maximum speed for throwing the bulk material into the peripheral area of the vessel.

An inertial bulk material dispensing device for transporting and propellantly dispensing bulk material including an endless belt movably supported along a conveyor path, an impeller wheel drivingly positioned to engage the endless belt and to drive the same at a high linear velocity along said path so that as bulk material, such as wheat, sand, salt or any other like bulk material is presented to said belt, it is rapidly transported by said belt along said path and propelled to a predisposed location.

A conveyor of the slinger type for transferring material such as grain or the like from a truck, wagon or the like to a vertical bucket elevator. The slinger conveyor includes a horizontal belt portion and an upward curved belt portion extending therefrom. The material to be conveyed is deposited on the horizontal belt portion and is accelerated therealong. The material attains substantially full belt speed as it reaches the upward curved portion due to the centrifugal force pressuring it to the conveyor belt surface. The incline of the upward curved portion and the high conveyor belt speed directs and projects the material upwardly into a hood which in turn directs the material into the bucket elevator intake hopper.
