    摘要: There is disclosed an improvement in wave motors for propulsion of boats, of the type comprising a supporting structure connected to the boat and extending downwards into the water, and a tilting element connected to the supporting structure, the tilting element being adapted to tilt when the boat is moved by the waves. The motor according to the invention is provided with force applying devices always trying to bring the tilting element back into a neutral position when it is angularly displaced away from this, thereby increasing the efficiency of the wave motor.

    摘要: A marine propulsion unit, including a duct and a center body which is located within the duct. A combustion chamber is positioned in the center body and receives fuel and compressed air from a source located in the hull of the ship. A turbine also positioned in the center body drives an impeller at the inlet of the duct. Wing shaped arms extend laterally of the duct with each arm having a span-wise nozzle so that water can flow through the lateral arms. The exhaust of the turbine flows through the arms and is mixed with the water flowing through the nozzle. The direction of the efflux from the nozzle can be varied to provide thrust vectoring.

    摘要: An outboard drive for a boat having a generally horizontal propeller shaft driven through gearing from two generally vertical rigid drive shafts between which the torque is shared. The drive shafts are gear connected in the upper part of the unit by transmission gears arranged to pump oil within the unit housing and the two shafts are driven by a single shaft from a power source. The transmission gears are so adjusted on their respective shafts as to cause the torque to be equally divided between the two drive shafts.

The pendulum is suspended in a tiltable frame, the tilt axis of which is located below an oscillation path of the pendulum and parallel to the pendulum axis. A push rod of a hydraulic or pneumatic drive cylinder supplied with energy for the pendulum drive is connected to the frame, and the drive cylinder is pivotably connected to the elements of the device that convert the electrical energy.
