    摘要: Systems and apparatus are provided for maintaining an ultra low oxygen concentration in a shipping container for the purpose of preventing spoilage of perishable food products. The system and apparatus may contain a composition of a mixture of gases including one or more of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and another inert gas, wherein the mixture of gases positively pressurizes the shipping container with an ultra low oxygen concentration. The system and apparatus may use one or more sensors to monitor the composition of the mixture of gases, and may use one or more controllers to release the compressed gases into the interior of the container. The controller may release the compressed gases at a variable rate of release sufficient to maintain the ultra low oxygen concentration and to ensure consistent concentrations of the mixture of gases with the container.

A channel extends between the first opening and the second opening. The dimensions of the channel are configured to control the rate of flow of CO2 (cc/min @ 1 PSI) from the inside of the package to the outside of the package and control the oxygen transmission rate (cc/day/Atm) from the outside of the package to the inside of the package so that a flow of CO2/OTR ratio is at an acceptable level for the packaged good.

    摘要: A method for the preservation of fresh plants by vacuum pre-cooling synchronously combined with modified atmosphere technique includes: (1) screening field-picked fresh plants, and selecting individuals with uniform size, consistent maturity, and no obvious defects; (2) placing the screened individuals in a vacuum pre-cooler for pre-cooling; (3) after the plants are pre-cooled to the final temperature, the device automatically shuts down the refrigerator and vacuum pump, and the pre-configured mixed gas is introduced from the intake air inlet into the vacuum chamber for re-pressing; and (4) taking the re-pressed fresh plants out of the pre-cooler, and performing modified atmosphere packaging and refrigerating. A specific mixed gas can be filled during the vacuum pre-cooling and re-pressure stages, and the re-pressure process after pre-cooling is closely integrated with the modified atmosphere technique to reduce the respiration metabolism of the plant to a suitable low level, significantly prolonging the shelf life of the product.

The apparatus has a microwave vacuum chamber 20, a loading module 36 to load containers 38 of the organic material into the vacuum chamber, a rotatable cylindrical cage 64 in the vacuum chamber for rotating the containers, a piston 114 for moving the rotating containers through the vacuum chamber, and means for unloading the containers of dehydrated material from the vacuum chamber. The apparatus may include an equilibration chamber 150 for cooling the dehydrated material under reduced pressure, and a transfer module 42 to transfer the containers from the vacuum chamber to the equilibration chamber. The apparatus has a microwave transparent window 54 for transmission of radiation into the vacuum chamber, and a gas jet 58, 60, 62 for blowing a stream of gas, such as air or nitrogen, into the vacuum chamber adjacent to the window.

    摘要: A control system for a controlled atmosphere room (“CA room”) for storing perishable commodities, such as fruits and vegetables. The control system includes an enclosure that can be placed within the CA room to store a representative sample of the commodities in the CA room. The control system includes an atmosphere valve selectively operable to provide atmospheric communication between the enclosure and the CA room or to isolate the enclosure from the CA room. The control system includes a sampling control system for determining a dynamic control value based on the isolated representative sample. The dynamic control value may be determined by monitoring the respiratory quotient in the enclosure while it is isolated. Once determined, the control system can use the dynamic control value to adjust the atmosphere of the CA room, thereby using tests on a representative sample to control the atmosphere for the full volume of commodities in the CA room. When not testing, the enclosure generally remains in atmospheric communication with the CA room, which improves the correlation of the representative sample with the commodities in the CA room.

The container refrigeration apparatus is provided with an air inlet unit independent of the unit case. The air inlet unit and the air pump are connected together by a tube. The air inlet unit is provided with a membrane filter, and is disposed above the unit case. Malfunctions of electrical components and corrosion on metallic components due to moisture permeation into the unit case are reduced.
