摘要： A circuit breaker includes a main case containing a contactor section, an arc-extinguishing device and an overcurrent tripping device; a middle cover laid on the main case, the middle cover having in a central section thereof a recess partitioned with a bottom wall for containing a switching mechanism and at least one interior attachment; and a top cover covering the top side of the recess in the middle cover. The main case, the middle cover and the top cover are arranged to be dividable from one another. The middle cover has an auxiliary cover, covering the switching mechanism, and the auxiliary cover has the top cover mounted thereon.

摘要： An accessory assembly is provided for an electrical switching apparatus, such as a circuit breaker. The circuit breaker includes a housing. The accessory assembly includes at least one accessory and a mounting member structured to mount such accessory within the housing of the circuit breaker. The mounting member includes at least one mounting portion. Such mounting portion receives and secures a corresponding one of the at least one accessory, without a number of separate fasteners. The corresponding accessory is removable from such mounting portion, without a number of separate tools. The at least one mounting portion may be a first mounting portion and a second mounting portion, and the at least one accessory may be a plurality of primary accessories coupled to the first mounting portion, and a number of secondary accessories coupled to the second mounting portion.

摘要： A contact shoe device for a circuit breaker is formed of a case, at least one pair of fixed contact shoes disposed in the case, at least one movable contact shoe disposed in the case for bridging the pair of the fixed contact shoes, and at least one pair of contact springs cooperating with the movable contact shoe. The contact springs urge the movable contact shoe to the pair of the fixed contact shoes to close an electric path between the pair of the fixed contact shoes. The movable contact shoe is separated from the pair of the fixed contact shoes against the contact springs when the electric path is open.

摘要： A circuit breaker operating mechanism employs a multi-latch arrangement for controlling the automatic opening of the circuit breaker contacts upon predetermined overcurrent conditions. The multi-latch assembly is robotically assembled to the operating mechanism and is retained thereon by means of a retainer tab. The circuit breaker case and cover contain integrally formed steps which receive extensions formed on the operating mechanism assembly. The operating mechanism assembly becomes wedged between the circuit breaker cover and case when the cover is later fastened to the case.

摘要： A protection switch, or a circuit breaker, includes a bimetallic element provided with a heating winding to form a portion of a structural unit insertable into an upper housing part, said structural unit further including a carrier connected to the bimetallic unit and having a connecting terminal extending from the carrier. The structural unit also including a terminal element connected to the heating winding and having an arc runner continuation, as well as carrying a contact piece of the switch contact. Continuations are provided for positioning the structural unit in a housing, the continuations engaging into guide grooves rigidly provided in the housing. The terminal element, in the region of the contact piece, is pressed against the housing stop and the carrier includes a fork-like free end embracing a catch rib of the housing. The bimetallic element is correctly positioned upon insertion of the structural unit into the housing so that readjustment is not necessary.

摘要： An electromagnetic circuit breaker for opening a set of contacts upon the occurrence of predetermined conditions, having an outer tubular casing closed at one end, but for a hole through which an operating handle extends, and a terminal-carrying baseplate closing the other end of the tubular casing. The operating mechanism of the circuit breaker is housed within an inner case formed by two interfitting case sections, the inner case having an opening through which the operating handle extends and a pair of openings through which extend the terminals carried by the baseplate. Also, a multipole circuit breaker may be formed by stacking, side-by-side, the inner cases, each having its own mechanism and each defining a pole of the multipole circuit breaker. The mechanisms of the multipole circuit breaker are interconnected so as to trip all poles thereof upon the tripping of any one pole, the multipole circuit breaker having a suitable larger outer casing and terminal carrying baseplate.
