摘要： A novel Janko-type keyboard with attachable/detachable touch plates is disclosed. The touch plates have a coloring differing from traditional keyboards. A novel music tablature corresponding to the keyboard design is provided. Also a novel piano notation system corresponding to the keyboard design is provided. Finally a method to teach playing Janko-type keyboard is provided, where the method included virtual Janko-keyboard on computer touch screen, optionally an actual electronic Janko-keyboard attached to the computer and computer programs providing music notation on tablature system of this disclosure.

摘要： Systems and methods for providing navigational marks on a fingerboard of a stringed instrument are provided. An example system may allow enhanced navigating of a player on the fingerboard of the stringed instrument. The system may comprise the fingerboard of the stringed instrument. Strings may be attached to the instrument over the fingerboard. A note may be produced by stimulating a part of a string associated with the note. The part of the string may be called a note location on the fingerboard. The navigational marks may be disposed on the fingerboard in association with the strings to mark note locations on the fingerboard and thus facilitate finding the note location. The navigational marks may include a plurality of types, with each type associated with a note of an octave and having a specific shape.

A framework of Zones and String Groups is laid out in a manner similar to a geographical map of the Earth which depicts the tones of each key as geometric configurations which are defined in terms of diatonic music theory.

The synchronized music portable memory device in one embodiment is provided with the actual song recording, sing-along words and indicia, scrollable score coding incorporating notes on a musical score and fingering, and a lighted key drive, all information being synchronized with the work. The synchronized memory device is inserted into a suitable slot in an electronic music synthesizer having a lighted keyboard and song reproduction equipment such that a virtually unlimited number of musical works can be readily delivered in one embodiment to a CD ROM/DVD burner over the Internet, whereby not only can a karaoke-like audio-visual experience be provided, but also a synchronized lighted keyboard is provided to enable an individual not only to sing along, but to play along with the work.

摘要： A fingering guide displaying apparatus is to guide a player or a learner how to finger wind musical instruments in playing. As most of wind musical instruments are transposing instruments, the fingering patterns are indicated for the respective notes on the music scores notated in the respective tonalities which are unique to the respective instruments. The apparatus stores a fingering pattern database representing fingering patterns for the respective available notes of various transposing instruments in the respective instrument tonalities, and a transposition value database representing, for each of the instrument tonalities, the pitch difference between the instrument tonality and the reference tonality. When music playing data expressed in the reference tonality are used for playing a transposing instrument, the playing data are converted to express the notes in the instrument tonality using the pitch difference value, and fingering patterns are also indicated in the instrument tonality.
