摘要: In an embodiment, a sliding component includes a plurality of dimples 10 disposed on at least one of sliding surfaces of a pair of sliding parts relatively sliding on each other, the plurality of dimples 10 is provided mutually independently of the other dimples, and the plurality of dimples 10 has an area ratio set lower on the low-pressure fluid side of the sliding surface than on the high-pressure fluid side. On the sliding surface, a liquid film on the high-pressure fluid side is thickened by dynamic pressure effect to improve fluid lubricity, and a liquid film on the low-pressure fluid side is thinned to prevent leakage.

摘要: A main pump shaft seal water injection system of a nuclear power plant includes a jet pump, a high pressure cooler, a hydrocyclone, valves and a main connection pipeline outside of a main pump, and an auxiliary pump and an internal flow path inside the main pump. Inner and outer flow paths of the main pump are connected with a shaft seal water injection hole and a high temperature water drainage hole. The main connection pipeline is connected between an upper filling water pipeline and a shaft seal water injection hole. A bypass pipeline connected with the jet pump, the high pressure cooler and the hydrocyclone, the main connection pipeline is provided with a normally open main pipeline isolating valve. The bypass pipeline allows low temperature upper filling water in the RCV system to enter the shaft seal water injection hole of the main flange directly.

摘要: A seal assembly is disclosed that can be used to seal a bearing case in a turbine. The seal assembly has an annular seal plate seated within a groove defined in the bearing case and radially-offset from the turbine shaft. A seal retainer is mounted on the shaft axially-offset from the annular seal plate and defines a channel therein for receiving and seating a seal therein. The seal has a flexible lip that extends from the body of the seal and engages either the inside surface of the bearing case or a counterface of the annular seal plate, thereby preventing or substantially restricting the influx of contaminants into the bearing case.

摘要: An improved mechanical face seal is provided which includes a pair of relatively rotatable seal rings having opposing seal faces. At least one of the seal faces and preferably the silicon carbide seal ring includes a tantalum coating over the seal face. The coating is formed such that the exposed seal face surface is formed of tantalum with a preferred thickness, and the substrate is the silicon carbide seal ring material. Between the silicon carbide substrate and exposed tantalum coating layer, an intermediate transformation layer of tantalum carbide is formed to enhance bonding of the substrate and coating layer. Preferably, the tantalum carbide layer is formed during the coating process wherein the tantalum is applied by chemical vapor deposition and the tantalum reacts with the silicon carbide to form the tantalum carbide at the interface between the tantalum coating layer and the seal ring substrate.
