Abstract:
Fastener (22) connects an insert (24) to a hollow tube (26). Fastener (22) is formed to have a yoke portion (58) extending between a pair of arm portions (56), all of which are formed arcuately to conform to the shape of tube (26). Arm portions (56) have arcuate free ends. Arm portions (56) include protuberances (60) which then may be cammed between an engagement position with edges (34) of openings (30) in tube (26) and edges (44) of cavity space (40) in insert (24) and a disengageable position with edges (34) and (44).
Abstract:
A fitting for connecting elongate elements, such as tubing, comprises a body 1 and legs 2a and 2b which fit into tubes A and B. The legs 2a and 2b are provided with recesses 4 for receiving bonding inserts 5 which contain bonding medium, for example, solder 6. The inserts 5 are of a material compatible with materials of the tubs A and B. When heat is applied to the external surface of the tubes A and B, in the region of the legs 2a, 2b, the solder 6 melts and bonds the inserts 5 to the tubes A and B.
Abstract:
A joint structure for a structural bar assembly, wherein a first bar and a hollow second bar are assembled by inserting of fitting a web of the first bar into a transverse slot of the second bar, and by restoring a stopper plate of the web elastically or forcibly to an upwardly inclined state so as to allow a top end of the stopper plate to engage or contact with an inner surface of a front wall of the second bar after the stopper plate passes through the slot. Joint portions of the first bar and the second bar are not pressed or hit strongly. There is no fear of rusting and eroding in the joint portions owing to injury of plating or painting layers.
Abstract:
The furniture or equipment comprises building elements which can be combined in any desired manner as its parts, namely plug connectors, connecting pipes, toggles and plates. The positive plug connection between a connector socket of a plug connector and a pipe end of a connecting pipe of circular-cylindrical form so as to form a plug unit is secured in form locked (positive) fashion by a toggle. For inserting plates between parallel connecting pipes clamp connections are provided. The parts are also of importance by themselves.
Abstract:
A joint unit for coupling hollow frame element including one connection members which are provided with at least two or more separated contacting sections with an inner wall of the frame element wherein one of the contacting sections is twisted against the other contacting section to obtain a function of torsional moment for rigid fit of the connection member to the frame element at more than two positions therein.
Abstract:
As described herein, a coupling member for building units includes a ram member which is movably mounted within one of the building units and which has an end adapted for placement within the open end portion of the other building unit. The ram member is provided with a surface in the form of two sloping planes arranged at right angles to each other and obliquely positioned in the longitudinal direction of the ram member. Also provided is a screw member which is adapted to abut either of the sloping planes of the ram member to thereby effectively lock the ram member in either of two positions. The other end of the screw member is adapted to project into a hole arranged in the building unit.
Abstract:
A locating pin assembly for coupling a first modular frame to a second modular frame is disclosed. The locating pin assembly has a first gusset plate positioned between the first modular frame and the second modular frame. The first gusset plate has a first gusset plate aperture and a second gusset plate aperture for receiving fastening means for coupling the first-modular-frame-first-beam and the second-modular-frame-first-beam the gusset plate. The pin assembly also has a pin engaging the first gusset plate, the first modular frame and the second modular frame. Also disclosed are modular frame units having the pin assembly, system of modular frame units having the pin assembly and a method of coupling modular frame units.
Abstract:
A frame connector assembly is adapted to releasably secure first and second frame members in line with one another. The connector assembly includes first and second expansion elements elastically interconnected. The second expansion element includes two hollow lobes joined by a web. When the connector assembly is received by the two frame members, threaded rotation of one or more threaded actuators forces the expansion elements apart and into engagement with opposing primary walls of the frame members. The threaded actuator also presses against the web, thereby causing resilient outward rotation of the lobes. This rotation results in compressive engagement between the outboard edges of the second expansion element and respective intermediate walls of the frame members. Thus, the connector assembly imposes locking forces to the frame members along two axes orthogonal to the main axis of the frame connector assembly. The expansion elements may have an identical extrusion cross-section.
