    摘要: A device and method for forming an indented female connector where the dimension of the indented female connector provides for removing a male molding component without damaging a set of internal ribs formed inside the female connector. A structure comprising an indented female blow-molded connector having a first wall having a top surface and a thickness, with the first wall surrounding an opening. At least one inner wall extends substantially perpendicular to the first wall and borders the opening. At least one rib is formed in the inner wall. A bottom wall is joined to the inner wall and the distance from the rib to the top surface is greater than the thickness of the first wall. The structure further comprising a male connector having a contact edge, such that when positioned inside the indented female blow-molded connector, the contact edge releasably engages the at least one rib.

    摘要: Disclosed is a handy bottle capable of absorbing deformation strain caused by variation of capacity, which is easy for lifting up and carrying because of its recessed portions for gripping and is excellent in dropping strength and capable of preventing the buckling phenomenon while maintaining moldability and lightweight property as well as a process for producing the handy bottle. A typical example of the handy bottle is featured by having the recessed portions for gripping on both side of a body portion thereof, a minimum distance L between the deepest portions of the recessed portions for gripping being 50% or less of the diameter D of the body portion, i.e. L/Dnull50%, and a shape in diametric cross section of the recessed portions being almost bilaterally symmetrical to a line connecting the deepest portions and a central axis of the body portion. The process for producing the handy bottle is featured by allowing movable inserts capable of molding the recessed portions for gripping to be on standby in the position at 2.0null2.6 times null of the central diameter R of a preform from the central axis of the preform, i.e. nullRnull(2.0 to 2.6), and allowing the movable inserts to proceed toward the deepest portions of the recessed portions for gripping in the course of blow molding.

The apparatus for manufacturing bellows comprises a nozzle body including an annular passage and a nozzle port formed by the annular nozzle mouthpiece and the nozzle core, and a neck die having a pin and an outer surrounding body on the opposite side of the nozzle body in which the outer surrounding body abuts against the nozzle mouthpiece and the end portion of the pin projecting from the outer surrounding body abuts against the nozzle core to form a cavity for molding the neck portion in communication with the nozzle port between the pin and the outer surrounding body prior to manufacturing of the bellows, and moves away from the state being abutted against the nozzle body with the resin portion filled in the cavity crimped when manufacturing the bellows, wherein the extent of projection of the end of the pin from the outer surrounding body is determined so that the nozzle core is allowed to be displaced in the axial direction while maintaining the state being abutted against the end portion, and the boundary portion between said neck portion and the bellows body is able to be increased in thickness and quantity when filling resin into said cavity.

    摘要: A method of making a blow-molded container from a strain-hardenable polymer, the container having deep recesses for secure "post mold" attachment of a handle. The container is formed in a modified blow mold having retractable blades. The blades are partially extended for blow molding partial recesses, and then further extended for mechanically forming the deep handle recesses. The mechanical forming operation overcomes the stretch limits imposed by strain-hardening of the plastic material during blow molding, and the "post-mold" attachment of the handle provides a reduced cycle time and lower level of defects compared to the known "in-mold" handle forming operations.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a blow molded article and an apparatus and method for blow molding the article. The article contemplated by the present invention includes a recessed lip. The apparatus includes two plates reciprocally movable toward and away from one another. A center ring member and a separating ring are fixedly and perpendicularly mounted on each plate. A mold half is mounted on each plate and is divided into two sections. One section is located on each side of the center ring member and is reciprocally movable toward and away from the center ring member. A first insert member is provided in each mold section in proximity to said center insert member. The first insert has a channel therein for receiving a second insert member. The second insert member is reciprocally movable in said channel and engages the center ring member. The movement of the second insert member is synchronized with respect to the first insert member to move at a speed that is at least half the speed of the first insert. The recessed lip is molded between said center ring members, the first insert member and the second insert member.
