A Semen Cassiae soft capsule for lowering blood lipids and losing weight and the preparation method thereof. The content of the soft capsule consist of the following components by weight part: 10-60 parts of ethanol soluble extract powder of Semen Cassiae, 2-10 parts of aqueous soluble extract powder of Radix Glycyrrhizae, 10-30 parts of evening primrose oil, 5-20 parts of sea buckthorn seed oil and 2-10 parts of beeswax. The preparation method includes the following steps: preparing all the components respectively; dissolving the ethanol soluble extract powder of Semen Cassiae in ethanol, adding 50% of the total weight of beeswax, heating in a water bath at 75 degrees Celsius to obtain a liquid mixture of Semen Cassiae and beeswax; heating the remainder beeswax with evening primrose oil, adding the liquid mixture of Semen Cassiae and beeswax while continuously stirring, adding aqueous soluble extract powder of Radix Glycyrrhizae, cooling the mixture by circulation water, adding sea buckthorn seed oil and continuously stirring to obtain the content for soft capsules, encapsulating soft capsules by conventional method to obtain the Semen Cassiae soft capsule.

The present invention relates to the anticancer composition containing an effective amount of herbal extract, and more particularly to the anticancer composition containing an effective amount of extract of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix, Chrysanthemum indicum, Acanthopanax senticosus, Cinnamomum cassia Blume, Eucommia ulmoides Oliv., Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch, Pueraria thunbergiana Benth, Crataegus pinnatifida Bunge, Cassia tora, Carthamus tinctorius L., Paeonia lactiflora Pall, and Angelica gigas Nakai. The anticancer composition containing an effective amount of herbal extract has advantage of minimal or few side effects and cytotoxicity as compared to many existing anticancer drugs having cytotoxicity and side effects.

The present invention provides a novel herbal formulation for use in treatment of piles. Formulation(s) comprises of leaves of Moringa oliefera, tender leaves of Pongaemia pinnata, whole plant of Cassia occidentalis and leaves of Albizia lebbeck. The formulation can be used as an emulsion or as a soft gelatin capsule for oral dosage forms or in the form of ointment. Moringa olifera used as carminative, stomachic and abortifacient. Pongaemia pinnata is useful in treatment of diseases like dairrhoea, flatulence and for cleaning ulcer and sores. Cassia occidentalis is used for treatment of hysteria, dysentery and other stomach problem. Albizia lebbeck is used in inflammation, itching, leucoderma and also used for strengthening of gums.

An herbal composition for suppressing appetite and inhibiting the formation of lipases contains water, about 30 to about 1000 mg of Hoodia gordonii per ¼ ounce of water, and about 30 to about 1000 mg of Cassia nomame per ¼ ounce of water. A serving of about 5 to about 15 cc of water may contain about 100 to about 300 mg of Hoodia gordonii, about 100 to about 300 mg of Cassia nomame, a sufficient amount of an acid, such as citric acid, to lower the pH below about 4.5, about 50 to about 100 mg of a flavoring agent, about 1800 to about 2600 mg of a flavor enhancer, and about 0.004 to about 0.12 mg of menthol. A convenient sealable container for carrying the composition holds about 8 to about 16 ounces. To lose weight, at least one serving of the composition is drunk twice a day before eating.

A medicinal agent for treatment of mastitis in animals and humans which includes a mixture of a decoction of a mixture of the following medicinal herbs in equal parts by weight and an ammonia solution infusion which is a mixture of the same medicinal herbs in equal parts by weight, wherein the medicinal herbs include Matricaria chamomilla L., flores Calendulae officinalis L., Urtica dioica L., Erythreae centaurium Raf. L., gemmae Betula pendula Roth, Plantago major L., gammae Pinus sylvestris L., Origanum vulgare L., Salvia officinalis Hoffm., Archangelica officinalis Hoffm., Taraxacum officinale Web., folium Tussilaginis farfarae L., Sanguisorba officinalis L., Valeriana officinalis L., Menthae piperitae L., Thymus vulgaris L., and Bidens tripartita L. The decoction and infusion are mixed in a ratio to adjust the Ph of the mixture to not below 7.4. Also disclosed is a method of treating mastitis using the medicinal agent described above.
