    摘要: A cover device (2) for a drink container comprises a basic assembly (9) which is provided with a drink opening (32), and a valve arrangement (20) for blocking or unblocking a passage to the drink opening (32) from a drink container side of the cover device (2). The valve arrangement (20) comprises a valve element (26) having two portions (27, 28) which are connected to each other through an area of the valve element (26) at a position where the valve element (26) is hingably associated with the basic assembly (9), and wherein only one of the two portions (27, 28) is in direct communication with the drink opening (32) of the basic assembly (9), so that a smallest total moment of force may be realized on the one portion (28) when the valve element (26) is subjected to pressure from the drink container side of the cover device (2).

    摘要: A vent prevents a vacuum within an inverted container of liquid and eliminates components found in other container vents. The vent utilizes a conical or other shaped venting tube extending from the closure or a reservoir with reservoir extension and an air conduit extending inferiorly from a closure. The closure is either a leak resistant or leak proof seal. The superior aspect of the reservoir contains an inferiorly projecting air conduit, opening at the volumetric center of the reservoir. The reservoir extension projects distally into the container to reach the inferior aspect of the container. The vent provides an airway between the outside and the interior of the container so air freely passes to the distal aspect of the container without contaminating the liquid. Any liquid within the reservoir extension then collects in the reservoir during inversion of the container and then returns to the container when upright.

    摘要: The production of a protein free synthetic polyisoprene which has both low levels of chemical impurities and good physical properties has yet to be realized. It has now been envisioned that the use of neodymium catalyzed polyisoprene will offer the combined advantages of both a clean, as well as, high cis-1,4 polymer. Synthesis of polyisoprene rubber using a neodymium based catalyst system is described. Characterization of the material shows the absence of an ultra high molecular weight fraction and the presence of very high cis-1,4-microstructure. Gum stock and black filled compound studies comparing neodymium polyisoprene with natural rubber, titanium polyisoprene, and lithium polyisoprene have been performed. Results indicate that polyisoprene rubber synthesized using a neodymium catalyst system (Nd—PI) has similar stress-strain and tear properties as synthetic titanium polyisoprene. Analysis of residual volatile, extractable, and oligomer levels indicates Nd—PI is indeed a clean source of high cis synthetic polyisoprene. In the practice of this invention such Nd—PI is used in manufacturing articles used in manufacturing health care products, garments, clothing, and food and beverage packaging. Some specific applications include: bandages, drug delivery patches, suture tape, pharmaceutical closures, including syringe plungers and sleeves, vial closures and stoppers, tourniquets, exercise bands, condoms and prophylactic devices, gloves and glove dip, intervenous bags and tubing, baby bottle nipples, pacifiers, and teething devices, breast hoods, and dental and orthodontic devices.

    摘要: The portable bottle system includes a vessel sleeve, a chamber assembly, a shell attachment, and an adapter. The vessel sleeve has a top rim and a bottom rim with external threads. The external threads sealingly engage threads on the brim of the chamber assembly. A cartridge or wedge section is loaded into the chamber assembly to deliver additives to dissolve into the liquid in the system. The chamber assembly also has a capped end to define an interior volume, so that a cup is formed. The shell attachment has an upper rim and a lower rim. The lower rim stacks on top of the top rim of the vessel sleeve, forming a water tight seal and the bottle shape of the shell attachment and the vessel sleeve. The adapter removably attaches the shell attachment to release or to receive liquids. The adapter may have a nipple, straw, or inlet hole.
