摘要: An absorbent member in an absorbent article comprises a absorbent polymer and cellulose fibers. The absorbent polymer has a centrifugal retentive capacity for physiological saline of 30 g/g or more and a permeation rate of physiological saline of 10 ml/minute or more. The cellulose fibers are crosslinked cellulose fibers obtainable by an intramolecular and/or intermolecular crosslinking of the cellulose fibers. Particularly, an absorbent member in a sanitary napkin has a centrifugal retentive capacity of pseudo-blood of 30 g or more and a permeation rate of pseudo-blood of 50 ml/minute or more. Also, a topsheet in the absorbent article comprises a liquid-permeable sheet, which comprises at least a layer in contact with a user's skin and a layer not in contact with the user's skin, the layers being overlaid and combined with each other into a unitary body. The layer in contact with the user's skin comprises a porous film of a thermoplastic resin or a nonwoven fabric of synthetic fibers. The layer not in contact with the user's skin comprises an absorbent sheet, which comprises at least bulky cellulose fibers. The absorbent member and the topsheet should preferably comprise crosslinked cellulose fibers.

摘要: An absorbent structure is described having an absorbent material layer of fibrous or foamed material, a front half section, a back half section, and absorbent gelling material, wherein more than half the weight of the absorbent gelling material is disposed in the back half section of the absorbent structure. The absorbent structure may include an acquisition/distribution layer having a surface overlying said absorbent material layer, wherein more than half of the surface is disposed in the back half section of the absorbent structure. The absorbent material layer of the absorbent structure may also have a back half section with a higher caliper than the caliper of the front half section of the absorbent material layer.

摘要: The present invention generally relates to an absorbent article that includes a top sheet, a back sheet and an absorbent core disposed between the top sheet and the back sheet. The absorbent article has enhanced thermal transmittance by evincing a lower thermal resistance (clo) of less than about 1.7 watts/m2, as measured in a Thermolabo apparatus. The absorbent article of the invention preferably has a low density, low basis weight core, and it provides improved comfort.

摘要: A liquid pervious topsheet, breathable backsheet, and an absorbent core makes up a breathable absorbent article. The absorbent core has a caliper of less than 12 mm and is positioned intermediate the liquid pervious topsheet and the breathable backsheet. The liquid pervious topsheet, absorbent core, and breathable backsheet are at least one layer. The liquid pervious topsheet has a liquid retention of less than 0.22 g for a 2.0 g load. The absorbent core has a vapor permeability of at least 200 g/ m2/24 hrs. The breathable backsheet has a liquid permeability of less than 0.16 g for 15 ml load. The liquid pervious topsheet, absorbent core, and breathable backsheet are joined such that the absorbent article has a dryness index of greater than 0.5 and a sensory index of greater than 50.
