Abstract:
A coupler is presented that has high-directivity and low coupling coefficient variation. The coupler includes a first trace associated with a first port and a second port. The first trace includes a first main arm, a first connecting trace connecting the first main arm to the second port, and a non-zero angle between the first main arm and the first connecting trace. Further, the coupler includes a second trace associated with a third port and a fourth port. The second trace includes a second main arm.
Abstract:
In one example, a method includes detecting, by a computing device, at least one user contact with a presence-sensitive screen of the computing device to input one or more characters of an input string. The method also includes detecting, by the computing device, a subsequent user contact with the presence-sensitive screen. The method also includes detecting, by the computing device, a gesture at a region of the presence-sensitive screen that is associated with a terminator symbol while the subsequent user contact is maintained with the presence-sensitive screen. The method also includes adding, by the computing device, the terminator symbol to the input string when the gesture comprises a virtual key press gesture. The method also includes replacing, by the computing device, the input string with a predicted completed string for the input string when the gesture comprises a prediction completion gesture.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for handling data sending and receiving are disclosed by the present invention, where the method for handling data sending includes: allocating the number of space transmission layers and pilot frequency resource for transmission at each transmission layer (101); generating pilot frequency resource information according to the number of space transmission layers and the pilot frequency resource for transmission at each transmission layer (102); and sending the pilot frequency resource information to a UE (103). The embodiments of the present invention can enable the UE to determine the specifically used pilot frequency resources to effectively distinguish the specific user channels, obtain correct channel estimation values, improve the channel estimation performance, and obtain correct service data.
Abstract:
Techniques for automatically completing a partially completed UI design created by a user are described. A UI query including attributes of UI components in the partially completed UI design is created. Design examples with similar UI components are identified. UI components of one such design example are displayed to automatically complete the partially completed UI design (also called an “auto-complete suggestion”). The user can systematically navigate the design examples and accept auto-completed suggestions to include into the partially complete UI design.
Abstract:
A heat dissipation system includes a computer case having a base plate and a back plate perpendicularly to the base plate, a motherboard on the base plate adjacent to the back plate, and a mass storage device beside the motherboard. The motherboard has a heat sink and a first fan on the heat sink. The base plate has a second fan beside the motherboard. The second fan is adjacent to the back plate. The mass storage device is away from the back plate. The first fan rotates in such a manner that airflow is drawn into the computer case, flows through the heat sink and is exhausted out of the computer case. The second fan rotates in such a manner that airflow is drawn into the computer case, flows through the mass storage device and is exhausted out of the computer case.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented user interface method is disclosed. The method includes displaying on a touchscreen of a computing device a first sub-portion of a list of items, receiving from a user of the device an drawn input on the touchscreen, correlating the drawn input to an alphanumeric character, and automatically displaying a second sub-portion of the list having one or more entries whose first character correlates to the alphanumeric character.
Abstract:
Methods of treating metabolic diseases and disorders using a Clec-2 extracellular domain are provided. In various embodiments the metabolic disease or disorder is type 2 diabetes, elevated glucose levels, elevated insulin levels and elevated triglyceride levels.
Abstract:
Methods of identifying compounds that specifically modulate the interaction of FGFR1 and β-Klotho are disclosed. Identified compounds can be useful in treating metabolic diseases and disorders that involve the interaction of FGFR1 and β-Klotho. In various embodiments the metabolic disease or disorder is diabetes, obesity, dyslipidemia, elevated glucose levels, elevated insulin levels and diabetic nephropathy.
Abstract:
A distance acquisition device is for acquiring a first rounded distance from a reference point to a basis point, and for subsequently acquiring a second rounded distance from an adjacent point to the basis point. The reference, adjacent, and basis points are disposed on a plane. The adjacent point is adjacent to the reference point. The distance acquisition device includes: a reference distance acquisition unit for acquiring a precise distance from the reference point to the basis point, and for subsequently performing rounding upon the precise distance so as to obtain the first rounded distance; a reference error acquisition unit for obtaining a first reference error corresponding to a difference between the precise distance and the first rounded distance; and a distance estimating unit for setting the second rounded distance based on the first rounded distance and the first reference error.
Abstract:
In one example, a computing device executes a plurality of application processes, each of which has an associated graphical user interface element. The computing device renders a common graphical user interface on a presence-sensitive screen. The common graphical user interface includes a currently rendered graphical user interface element associated with a currently selected application process from among the plurality of application processes; a tab row comprising a plurality of tabs, wherein each of the graphical user interface elements corresponds to one of the plurality of tabs; and a slide bar positioned proximate to the tab row. The computing device renders a first tab in the tab row with a larger size than other graphical tabs in the plurality of tabs responsive to receipt by the presence-sensitive screen of a gesture input associated with a region of the slide bar that is closest to the first tab.
