    Abstract: The embodiments herein relate to a method for mobility enforcement performed by a control entity. The method comprises receiving a first control plane transmitted by a wireless communication device, WCD; and in response to receiving the first control plane message obtaining mobility information for the WCD. The mobility information for the WCD identifying at least one of: a set of one or more allowed regions. a set of one or more allowed radio access technologies, RATs, and a set of one or more access points. The method further comprising transmitting to the WCD a response message, said response message identifying at least one of: the set of allowed regions, the set of allowed RATs, and the set of one or more access points. The embodiments herein relate to a control entity performing the method, a corresponding method performed by a wireless communication device, WCD, and a corresponding WCD.

    Abstract: The embodiments herein relate to a method performed by an AMF (106) for handling handover. The AMF (106) receives one of: a handover required message and a first request message. The handover required message is received from an S-RAN (104s) and the first request message is received from another AMF (106) in response to the handover required message. The AMF (106) sends to a SMF (108), a set of one or more first request messages and activates a timer. The AMF (106) determines whether at least one of the following is true: a certain amount of time has elapsed since the timer was activated and the AMF (106) has received a first PDU response message for each one of the first PDU request messages. The AMF (106) transmits a handover request message to a T-RAN (104t) as a result of determining that at least one of the conditions is true.

    Abstract: A UE is configured such that, when in MICO mode, the UE does not transmit certain messages (e.g., Service Request, periodic registration update message) whenever there is a risk that the certain message will not be routed to the UE's serving AMF. In some embodiments, the network (e.g., serving AMF) indicates to the UE in MICO mode an area (parts of, or the entire PLMN) that is covered by the serving AMF, the Within Serving AMF (WSA) area. While the UE is within the indicated WSA area, the UE in MICO mode may continue to use periodic registration area update or Service Requests (instead of the more extensive mobility registration update procedure) as there is no risk of addressing a new AMF in that area.
