    Abstract: A data processing device comprises an analyser to analyse successive images captured by a camera and to detect an optically detectable marker in the captured images, a first location detector to detect a location of the optically detectable marker with respect to a location of the camera according to a first detection mode and to generate a first detection result, a second location detector to detect the location of the optically detectable marker with respect to the location of the camera according to a second detection mode different to the first detection mode and to generate a second detection result, and a processor to select at least one of the first detection result and the second detection result and to generate data indicative of the location of the optically detectable marker with respect to the location of the camera based on the selection.

    Abstract: An information processing device disposes an object model of a target object in a virtual space, and projects a polygon of a marker onto an imaging plane. Visibility indicating a degree of occlusion of the marker is calculated from an area of an image of the marker on a model thereby obtained and an area of a corresponding image of the marker in a photographed image. When the visibility is equal to or higher than a threshold value, positional information of the marker which positional information is derived from the photographed image is determined to be valid, and is output to be used in calculation of position coordinates of the target object after a weight coefficient is determined. When the visibility is lower than the threshold value, the positional information of the marker is determined to be invalid, and is not output.

    Abstract: An input device includes a case body and a plurality of markers 30d, 30e, and 30p configured to emit light to the outside of the case body. When an angle difference between the normal directions of the two markers 30d and 30e is less than a predetermined threshold value, a distance between the two markers 30d and 30e is equal to or greater than a predetermined first distance. When an angle difference between the normal directions of the two markers 30d and 30p is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value, a distance between the two markers 30d and 30p is equal to or greater than a predetermined second distance, and the second distance is shorter than the first distance.

    Abstract: Two light-emitting units are to be prevented from overlapping each other in an image obtained through a camera. A tracked unit (30) has a first outer surface (A1) provided with a first light-emitting unit (H1), a second outer surface (A2) provided with a second light-emitting unit (H2), and a light shield portion (B). The second outer surface (A2) faces a second direction different from that of the first outer surface (A1). The light shield portion (B) is located further outside than the first light-emitting unit (H1) and the second light-emitting unit (H2).
