Abstract: Provided is a 5th generation (5G) or 6th generation (6G) communication system for supporting higher data rates after 4G communication systems such as long term evolution (LTE). A communication method of a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station (BS), information about a decoding mode including bit information corresponding to the number of times of perturbation, receiving data from the BS on a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH), and decoding the received data based on the information about the decoding mode, wherein the information about the decoding mode may be generated based on service information including at least one of Quality of Service (QoS), a service priority, packet delay performance, packet error probability performance, a requirement, or a data transmission scheme.

The method may include: identifying a neural network model for transmitting first information to a base station (BS); learning a connection weight of the neural network model using the first information; transmitting, to the base station, second information for updating a weight of a second partial neural network corresponding to the base station based on a result of the learning; and updating a weight of a first partial neural network corresponding to the UE based on the result of the learning.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided in which a slot is generated including a symbol and a synchronization signal, which is transmitted through the symbol. The slot is transmitted to a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) and a user equipment (UE). The symbol is used to determine an operation to be performed by the UE during a predetermined time period including the slot. The slot is transmitted to the UE through beams formed according to a first RIS pattern. A result of measuring each beam based on the beams is received from the UE. A second RIS pattern is determined for transmitting data based on the result of measuring each beam. A signal for controlling the first RIS pattern based on the second RIS pattern is transmitted to the RIS. A data signal is transmitted to the UE through the RIS. The second RIS pattern is applied to the RIS.
