    Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for HARQ-ACK in carrier aggregation with multiple serving cells. In some embodiments, the method includes: receiving, by a User Equipment (UE), a Downlink Control Information (DCI) scheduling: a first Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) in a first Component Carrier (CC), and a second PDSCH in a second CC; calculating, by the UE, a comparison value for the DCI; and transmitting one or more Acknowledgement/Negative Acknowledgment (A/N) bits based on the comparison value, the calculating including performing a count over received PDSCHs of CCs with carrier indexes up to and including a carrier index of a reference CC.

    Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for beam refinement to enable inactive mode transmission in frequency range 2 for 3GPP RedCap devices. A RedCap device receives system information in a SIB1 from a wireless network in which the SIB1 includes information relating to an indication of resources used to transmit a SIB-x. The device receives the SIB-x, which includes an indication of at least one resource, at least one configuration for a Downlink-Reference Signal (DL-RS) transmission, and information relating to a measurement report relating to the beam-refinement measurement that is to be performed by a device. The device receives the DL-RS transmission from the wireless communication network, performs the beam-refinement measurement, and sends a measurement report to the wireless network. Subsequent to sending the measurement report, the device sends an enhanced transmission to the wireless network based on the measurement report.

    Abstract: A method for performing PDCCH monitoring of component carriers (CCs) in a carrier aggregation scheme that aggregates a first CC and a second CC. In some embodiments, the method includes: calculating a first monitoring occasion start time for a monitoring occasion of the first CC, wherein the first monitoring occasion start time is expressed as a first symbol-index value; calculating a second monitoring occasion start time for a monitoring occasion of the second CC, wherein the second monitoring occasion start time is expressed as a second symbol-index value; and generating a schedule for the monitoring occasion of the first CC and the monitoring occasion of the second CC based on an ascending order of the first monitoring occasion start time and the second monitoring occasion start time.

    Abstract: A symmetric interleaver for a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) encoder and a circular padding mode are disclosed. The interleaver interleaves elements of an input block to form an output block in which an output neighborhood of elements for each element of the output block is symmetric to an input neighborhood of elements for each element of the input block. A position of an element of the input block is interleaved based on an index i of the position times a parameter δ modulo K in which the parameter δ is relatively prime with K. A test loss function may be used to train the encoder that includes a Binary Cross Entropy (BCE) loss function plus a function that minimizes a number of codeword pairs based on a Euclidean distance. The RNN encoder may be implemented as part of a Turbo Autoencoder (TurboAE) encoder.

    Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed relating to a transport block processing chain for a transmitter. A code block determination circuit may be configured to determine a size of a code block that maps across multiple slots of a wireless physical shared channel according to a Transport Block over Multiple Slots (TBoMS) configuration, and a rate matching circuit may be configured to rate match bits of the code block to a number of bits available in a transport block that spans the predetermined number of slots of the wireless physical shared channel. Additionally, an interleaver may be configured to interleave a continuous output of the rate matching circuit on a slot basis so that a code block that crosses a slot boundary between a first slot and a second slot is interleaved within the first slot and the second slot.
