    Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling transmit power of an electronic device in a wireless communication system are provided. A proposed method for a base station as a master node of an electronic device in an evolved universal terrestrial radio access (E-UTRA) new radio (NR) dual connectivity (EN-DC) environment to communicate with the electronic device via a first radio access technology (RAT) in a first band includes performing a random access procedure with the electronic device, inquiring and receiving electronic device capability information from the electronic device, determining whether to add a secondary node supporting communication with the electronic device via a second RAT in a second band that is different from the first band, and transmitting an updated power allocation value to the electronic device along with a secondary node addition command based on the electronic device capability information indicating that the electronic device does not support dynamic power sharing, the update power allocation value being set based on the electronic device capability information and uplink power information for transmission to the second node.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a communication circuit, a plurality of antennas that are fed with power from the communication circuit, and a processor that controls the communication circuit. The processor is configured to receive a first signal for indicating initiation of configuration for carrier aggregation. The processor is also configured to change the configuration of at least one of the antennas or the communication circuit to perform the carrier aggregation if a second signal for indicating operation initiation of the carrier aggregation is received from a base station.

    Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electronic device may include: multiple antennas configured to support long-term evolution (LTE) communication and new radio (NR) communication; a memory configured to store association information between first multiple output powers used for the LTE communication and second multiple output powers used for the NR communication corresponding to the first multiple output powers respectively, and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: configure an LTE transmission power to be used for data transmission in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) of the LTE communication, identify a first NR output power maximum value corresponding to the LTE transmission power based on the association information, identify a sounding reference signal (SRS) output power to be used for SRS transmission through at least one of the multiple antennas, and at least temporarily reduce the LTE transmission power based on the SRS output power being greater than the first NR output power maximum value.
