    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a luminance compensator, and a data driver. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels. The luminance compensator is configured to calculate a scaling factor based on a target current, a black image current, and a sensing current. The target current is calculated based on an input current input to the display panel. The sensing current is measured from the display panel. The data driver is configured to generate a data voltage based on input image data to supply the data voltage to the pixels. The data voltage has a voltage level adjusted based on the scaling factor.

    Abstract: A method of performing image-adaptive tone mapping includes: determining a tone mapping curve based on a data signal corresponding to an image frame to be displayed on a display panel; determining whether a scene-change occurs between the image frame and a previous image frame by comparing the data signal with a previous data signal corresponding to the previous image frame; generating, in response to a determination that the scene-change does not occur, a final tone mapping curve based on the tone mapping curve and a previous tone mapping curve, which is applied to the previous image frame; determining, in response to a determination that the scene change occurs, the tone mapping curve as the final tone mapping curve; and performing a tone mapping by applying the final tone mapping curve to the image frame.

    Abstract: A driving controller includes an overcurrent load calculator calculating a load of an input image signal, comparing the load and a reference load, and outputting a first signal corresponding to a first comparison result, an overcurrent reference controller analyzing a grayscale of the input image signal and outputting one of a first reference current signal corresponding to the grayscale and a second reference current signal, whose current level is higher than that of the first reference current signal, as a reference current signal, a current sensor receiving a feedback current signal, comparing a current level of the feedback current signal and a current level of the reference current signal, and outputting a second signal corresponding to a second comparison result, and a voltage controller outputting a voltage control signal for adjusting a voltage level of a driving voltage, based on the first signal and the second signal.

The decoder is configured to decode the encoded compensation data to generate decoded compensation data. The compensator is configured to process input image data based on the decoded compensation data and generate accumulated stress data.
