    Abstract: In an embodiment, a touch sensor may include a sensor part including a first electrode and a second electrode, a signal receiving part, an amplifier circuit part connected between the second electrode and the signal receiving part, an analog-to-digital converter part configured to output a digital signal corresponding to a voltage difference between input terminals, and a processor configured to detect a touch input from the sensor part in response to the digital signal when operating in a first mode, and to output a gain control signal for calibrating a gain value of the amplifier circuit part in response to the digital signal when operating in a second mode.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display layer, a touch layer including a plurality of driving electrodes and a plurality of sensing electrodes, and a touch driving circuit supplying touch driving signals to the plurality of driving electrodes, receiving touch signals from the plurality of sensing electrodes, and generating a touch sensing signal including first and second touch sensing signals. The touch driving circuit receives one of the touch signals, detects first sensed voltages of the one touch signal every first cycle of the first touch sensing signal to calculate a phase delay amount of the one touch signal, delays a phase of the second touch sensing signal based on the phase delay amount, calculates second sensed voltages of the one touch signal every second cycle of the second touch sensing signal different from the first cycle, and recognizes a touch input based on the second sensed voltages.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display unit having pixels, a touch sensing unit including touch electrodes disposed on the display unit, and a touch driver configured to supply a touch driving signal to the plurality of touch electrodes and receive a touch sensing signal from the touch electrodes. The touch driver supplies a first touch driving signal having a first phase to one or more first touch electrodes, and supplies a second touch driving signal having a second phase opposite to the first phase to one or more second touch electrodes, at least a part of which is disposed across a specific point from the first touch electrodes. The touch driver receives a first touch sensing signal having the first phase from at least one of the first touch electrodes, and receives a second touch sensing signal having the second phase from at least one of the second touch electrodes.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel including an upper electrode and an encapsulation layer provided on the upper electrode; a touch panel including a first touch electrode and a second touch electrode each facing the upper electrode and positioned between the display panel and a cover window covering the display panel, the first touch electrode being separated from the second touch electrode; an elastic layer provided on the display panel and deforming in response to an applied pressure from a touch; and a touch sensor programmed to detect an applied pressure from a change in gaps between the first and second touch electrodes and the upper electrode due to the applied pressure, and to detect a capacitance between the first touch electrode and the second touch electrode caused by the touch, so as to sense a position of the touch.

    Abstract: A touch sensor includes first sensor patterns, second sensor patterns, a conductive line, and a temperature sensing electrode set. The first sensor patterns are electrically connected in a first direction. The second sensor patterns are electrically insulated from first sensor patterns and are electrically connected in a second direction different from the first direction. The conductive line is electrically connected to at least one of the first sensor patterns or at least one of the second sensor patterns. The temperature sensing electrode set is positioned between two of the first sensor patterns, is positioned between two of the second sensor patterns, or is positioned between the conductive line and at least one of the first sensor patterns and the second sensor patterns. The temperature sensing electrode set includes a first electrode and a second electrode spaced from each other.
