Abstract: A flexible display panel and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. In one aspect, the flexible display panel includes a flexible substrate configured to display an image. The display also includes a first layer formed over a first surface of the flexible substrate and configured to compress horizontally with a compressive strain force. Abstract: An organic light-emitting diode display is disclosed. In one aspect, the display includes a substrate having a flexible portion configured to bend or fold, a semiconductor positioned over the substrate, and a gate insulating layer positioned over the semiconductor and having an opening. The display also includes an interlayer insulating layer positioned over the gate insulating layer, a portion of the interlayer insulating layer positioned within the opening. The display further includes a gate electrode positioned between the gate insulating layer and the interlayer insulating layer and overlapping the semiconductor in the depth dimension of the OLED display. A source electrode and a drain electrode are positioned over the interlayer insulating layer and connected to the semiconductor.
