Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel including a pixel, a gate driver providing a gate signal to the pixel, a data driver providing a data voltage to the pixel and an emission driver providing an emission signal to the pixel. The pixel includes a driving switching element applying a driving current to the light emitting element, a storage capacitor connected to the driving switching element, a bias capacitor connected to the storage capacitor and receiving a bias gate signal, a threshold voltage compensation switching element connected to an electrode of the driving switching element and a light emitting element initialization switching element connected to an electrode of the light emitting element. A control signal applied to an electrode of the threshold voltage compensation switching element and a control signal applied to an electrode of the light emitting element initialization switching element are generated from different signal generators.

The passivation layer includes a trench exposing the at least one inorganic layer. The encapsulation layer contacts the at least one inorganic layer exposed via the trench.
