Abstract: A method of displaying a stereoscopic image and a display device are disclosed. In one aspect, the method includes first providing a first portion of left eye image data to a plurality of pixel rows during a first non-emission period of a first frame period, wherein the first frame period includes a first emission period having a first emission transition period and a first compensation period. The method also includes second providing a second portion of the left eye image data to the pixel rows during the first emission transition period while sequentially providing the left eye image data to the pixel rows during the first emission period. The method further includes third providing the second portion of the left eye image data to the pixel rows during the first compensation period and driving the pixel rows to concurrently emit light during the first emission period.

Abstract: A display device includes a data driver providing a data voltage to each of multiple pixels, a scan driver providing first and second scan signals to each of the pixels, and a controller to control the data driver and the scan driver. The scan driver performs a first active scan operation that sequentially provides the first and second scan signals to the pixels in an active period of a first frame period, and initiates a dummy scan operation that sequentially provides the second scan signal to the pixels in a blank period of the first frame period. When a second frame period starts before the dummy scan operation for the pixel in a last row, the data driver changes a level of the data voltage in an overlap period in which the dummy scan operation and a second active scan operation in the second frame period are simultaneously performed.

Abstract: A display device may include a display panel including a plurality of pixel rows, a power supply providing a power voltage to the display panel, and an overcurrent protector shutting down the power supply when at least one of the pixel rows is burnt. The overcurrent protector may include a sensing controller sensing a first current of at least one first pixel row of the display panel in a first frame period, and sensing a second current of the first pixel row in a second frame period after the first frame period when the first current is greater than or equal to a first threshold value. The overcurrent protector may further include a burnt determiner determining whether the first pixel row is burnt, and providing a shutdown signal to the power supply when the first pixel row is burnt.

The pixels do not emit light during a data pre-addressing period and pixels emit light during a data addressing period. The scan driver supplies scan signals to the scan lines. The data driver supplies data voltages to the data lines in synchronization with the scan signals. The scan driver supplies first scan signals to the scan lines during the data pre-addressing period, and supplies second scan signals to the scan lines during the data addressing period. Each of the first scan signals has one pulse, and each of the second scan signals has a plurality of pulses.
