摘要： Systems and methods are provided herein for providing recommendations to a user. A short-media viewing profile may be maintained for the user. The short-media viewing profile may be based on user's behavior while watching short-length media content. A long-media viewing profile may be maintained for the user. The long-media viewing profile may be based on user's behavior while watching long-length media content. In response to determining that the user is currently engaged in viewing short-length media content, a recommendation is provided to the user based on the short-media viewing profile. In response to determining that the user is currently engaged in viewing long-length media content, a recommendation is provided to the user based on the long-media viewing profile.

摘要： Systems and methods are described to address shortcomings in conventional media systems via a novel technique to prevent corruption of a user's viewing profile. In some aspects, a user of an interactive media guidance application may select a media asset for viewing on a user device. The interactive media guidance application may receive a user viewing profile for the user from a remote server. If the media asset is determined to not be consistent with the user viewing profile, the interactive media guidance application may retrieve another user viewing profile for another user of the user device. If the media asset is determined to be consistent with the other user viewing profile, the interactive media guidance application may update the other user viewing profile based on the media asset.

摘要： Systems and methods are described to address shortcomings in conventional systems by correcting an erroneous term in on-screen caption text for a media asset. In some aspects, the systems and methods identify the erroneous term in a text segment of the on-screen caption text, and identify one or more video frames of the media asset corresponding to the text segment. The systems and methods further identify a contextual term related to the erroneous term from the one or more video frames. By accessing a knowledge graph, the systems and methods identify a candidate correction based on the contextual term and a portion of the text segment. Lastly, the systems and methods replaces the erroneous term with the candidate correction.
