Abstract:
In a dispenser, a tubular body carrying on its top a suction valve for suction of a pasty produce into a compression chamber, a distribution head between the chamber and a distribution pipe, a central orifice in the top surrounded by a bearing surface forming the seat of the suction valve, an actuator including the distribution pipe and a duct fitting the top of a deformable cap which defines the compression chamber; the deformable cap including a deformable web and an upper tube carrying a flexible lip forming a valve with the bottom of the duct for expelling the product into pipe.
Abstract:
A closure device for both smooth necked and threaded necked containers includes a tamperproof cap frangibly affixed to the container for selective removal by manipulation of the cover. Upon breaking the tamperproof seal by cover manipulation, the cap may be retained within the cover to avoid disposal problems and to serve as a sealing component when the container is resealed after initial opening occurs.
Abstract:
Provided are compositions comprising compounds or precursors to compounds which may be used for a variety of therapeutic applications including, for example, treating and/or preventing a disease or disorder related to reduced or inadequate mitochondrial activity, including aging or stress, diabetes, obesity, and neurodegenerative diseases. The compounds relate generally to urolithins and precursors thereof, including but not limited to ellagitannins and urolithin A. In certain embodiments the compositions are presented in or as food products or nutritional supplements. These same compounds and compositions can also be used advantageously in generally healthy individuals to increase or maintain metabolic rate, decrease percent body fat, increase or maintain muscle mass, manage body weight, improve or maintain mental performance (including memory), improve or maintain muscle performance, improve or maintain mood, and manage stress.
Abstract:
Collapsible tube head (100, 200, 300, 400) comprising a neck (103, 203, 303, 403) which is fitted, with a port (180, 280, 380, 480) and a shoulder (102, 202, 302, 402). The aforementioned head is fitted with a valve (110, 210, 310, 410) which is inserted in the neck of the said collapsible tube, the said valve comprising a sealing means (112, 212, 312, 412) which is connected to a ring support (115, 215, 315, 415) having an opening (122, 222, 322, 422), the said sealing means being maintained in the closed position of the said opening when the tube is not compressed, and being maintained in the open position when the tube is compressed. The inner surface of the tube is provided with a bore (105, 205, 305, 405) which is disposed close to the base of the said neck. The ring support is fixed to the bore by means of bonding, soldering or force fitting, and the said bore and ring support are preferably provided with complementary connection means, in particular a groove and rice grains.
Abstract:
There is a flexible tube having a neck in which an outer surface has a securing attachment and a transverse end wall bearing a cylindrical vent. There is also a rigid end cap having a sealing shirt and a securing skirt having a securing attachment matching that of the neck. The vent of the flexible tube and sealing and securing skirt are arranged so as to obtain longitudinal locking of the rigid end cap on the neck by a simple longitudinal translational movement.
Abstract:
A tube provided with a head and a skirt having an orthogonal cross section of particular shape in which the largest inscribed circle has a diameter D. The head, which is designed for fixing of a rigid closure, is provided with a circular cylindrical wall extending towards the inside of the tube and enclosing an orifice concentric to the inscribed circle and having a large diameter, typically more than 0.8D, and takes up substantially the internal volume of the skirt end over a height less than D, preferably less than D/3. The invention is further directed to a closure element, in particular a convenience closure, adapted for fixing substantially irreversibly on the tube head, comprising a base having an external outline matching the shape of the orthogonal cross section of the tube skirt, and a skirt having a diameter in the range of 0.5D to 0.9D.
Abstract:
A distributor body comprises a housing having a bottom, a lateral wall secured to the bottom and a top end opposite to the bottom, and a dome sealingly fixed to the top end. The dome is rigid and formed of a plastics material and comprises a central annular portion having a minimal thickness between 1.2 and 4 mm, an upper annular portion and a lower annular portion. The lower annular portion sealingly fixes the dome to the top portion by direct axial fitment. The upper annular portion is adapted for receiving a distribution means such as a valve or pump. The distributor body can be used to dispense materials in the areas of cosmetology, pharmaceuticals, hygiene and foodstuffs.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a process for the production and packaging of a bag-type dispenser comprising a casing surmounted by a dome, a sealed flexible bag fixed in said casing and dispensing means sealingly connected to said dome and to said bag characterized in that, prior to any other assembly and packaging operation, a dome of plastics material is produced by moulding, the dome comprising an internal tubular portion permitting sealing fixing thereon on to the upper end of a skirt forming the blank for the bag, and then said fixing is produced, thus providing a preassembled component, dome+skirt, the dome further comprising portions for fixing thereof respectively on to the upper end of the casing and to the dispensing means. The invention also concerns the resulting sub-assemblies and bag-type dispensers. The invention is used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetological, hygiene and foodstuff fields.
