Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for reducing user equipment (UE) capability information message size. A method for wireless communications by a UE is provided. The UE sends a first UE capability information message to a base station (BS) including a first set of UE capability information. The UE sends at least a second UE capability information message to the BS subsequent to sending the first UE capability information message including a second set of UE capability information. The second set of UE capability information does not include one or more UE capabilities included in the first set of UE capability information. The BS receives the first and second UE capability information.

Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, the method comprises receiving at least one downlink packet. The method further comprises generating an acknowledge message in response to receiving the at least one downlink packet. The method further comprises prioritizing the acknowledge message in a buffer according to a probability, the probability based at least in part on a current utilization level of the buffer. The method may further comprise one or more of the following: setting the probability to a first value when the utilization level is below a first level, setting the probability to a second value when the utilization level is above the first level and below a second level, and setting the probability to a third value when the utilization level is above the second level. The second value may be adjusted based on feedback corresponding to a downlink throughput.

Abstract: Methods and devices for implementing dynamic receive mode management to improve data throughput and paging performance on a multi-subscriber identification module (SIM) wireless communication device may include detecting, on a protocol stack associated with a first SIM, an active communication in a first network, detecting, on a protocol stack associated with a second SIM, an idle mode paging cycle in a second network, prompting entry into a selected dual receive mode on the shared RF resource, and monitoring at least one performance metric for the idle mode paging cycle associated with the second SIM while in the dual receive mode. Based on the monitored performance metric while in the dual receive mode, the wireless communication device may determine whether paging performance is degraded for the second SIM, and if so, trigger entry into a fallback mode on the shared RF resource.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a UE and a network device for wireless communication. The UE sends an indication to a network device indicating a capability of receiving a PWS signal and/or a delay requirement for receiving the PWS signal. The UE receives, from the network device, a configured DRX cycle value associated with the indication and a paging signal corresponding to the PWS signal associated with the configured DRX cycle value. The network device determines whether the UE is capable of receiving the PWS signal and whether the UE desires to receive the PWS signal within a duration. The network device configures a DRX cycle value based on the determination and sends, to the UE, the configured DRX cycle value and a paging signal corresponding to the PWS signal based on the configured DRX cycle value. Other aspects, features, and embodiments are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems and devices for wireless communications are described for differentiation between standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) cells in a wireless communications system. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a subcarrier offset for a system information block (SIB). The SIB may be for a cell of a wireless communications network. The cell may be in accordance with a radio access technology. The UE may determine, based on the subcarrier offset for the SIB, whether the cell is configured as an SA cell or as an NSA cell for the radio access technology. The UE may communicate via the wireless communications network based on whether the cell is configured as an SA cell or as an NSA cell.
