Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a technique for signaling user equipment (UE) assistance information (UAI) indicating a preferred set of connected discontinuous reception (CDRX) parameters, a start offset, and/or a slot offset to a network entity. For example, a UE signals the UAI when operating in a dual connectivity mode involving a new radio (NR) and a long term evolution (LTE). The UE signals the UAI via a new information element (IE). The UE receives a new set of CDRX parameters from the network entity based on the UAI. The UE uses the new set of CDRX parameters for a CDRX operation.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station associated with a first subscription, first control signaling indicating a configuration for a set of tune away occasions in which the UE is to tune away from the first subscription to a second subscription to monitor for paging signaling for the second subscription. The UE may transmit second control signaling a suspension of one or multiple tune away occasions based on the configuration, the suspension indicating that the UE may refrain from tuning away from the first subscription during the tune away occasions. Based on transmitting the second control signaling, the UE may communicate data with the base station and refrain from monitoring for the paging signaling during the suspended tune away occasion.

Abstract: Mechanisms for uplink (UL) scheduling in dual connectivity scenarios are provided. According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes: receiving, in an uplink (UL) buffer, first UL data for transmission to at least one base station (BS) via a first path and a second path, wherein the first path and the second path are associated with a dual connectivity communication mode; transmitting, to a first BS on the first path, a first scheduling request for the first UL data; and refraining, based on a time duration between the receiving the first UL data in the buffer and a tune-away gap on the second path, from transmitting a second scheduling request for the first UL data on the second path.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) detects a collision between a duration in time domain configured to receive downlink data for a dedicated data subscription (DDS) subscription of the MSIM UE and a first paging occasion configured to receive a paging message for a non-DDS (n-DDS) subscription of the MSIM UE. The UE may then monitor a second paging occasion different from the first paging occasion for the paging message, the second paging occasion configured to avoid collision with the duration in time domain.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may be configured with multiple bandwidth parts (BWPs) and may support multiple subscriber identification modules (SIMs) (e.g., may operate in a multi-SIM (MSIM) mode). The UE may tune away from a default data SIM (DDS) subscription for a tune away gap and may miss any downlink signaling, such as an indication of a BWP switch, for a duration of the tune away. To avoid latency resulting from such missed downlink signaling, the UE may support a mechanism according to which the UE may autonomously switch to a different BWP despite a missed command from a network entity. Such a mechanism may include transmission of a scheduling request (SR) on each of multiple BWPs configured for the UE and monitoring each of the multiple BWPs for signaling responsive to the SR.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may use intelligent transmission selection for enhancing uplink performance. The UE may identify a quantity of tuneaway occasions in which the UE is to tune away at least one radio frequency (RF) chain of multiple RF chain from a first subscription to a second subscription. The UE may identify a conflict for an uplink transmission associated with the first subscription during a first tuneaway occasion. The UE may switch the uplink transmission from one or more first RF chains to one or more available second RF chains based on the conflict, and the UE may transmit the uplink transmission using the one or more available second RF chains based on the switching.
