Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide improved repetition techniques for autonomous uplink transmissions. Configuration information may be provided from a base station to a user equipment (UE) for autonomous uplink transmissions, that may indicate initial resources for an initial uplink transmission slot and retransmission resources for a number of retransmissions. Time resources within the retransmission resources may be configured to provide enhanced reliability, such as by being configured in non-contiguous slots to avoid one or more other transmission channels. Time resources within slots may also be configured to prevent persistent collisions with autonomous uplink transmissions or retransmissions of two or more different UEs.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. In certain configurations, the apparatus may include an eMBB UE. The apparatus may monitor a single preconfigured mini-slot in each of a plurality of slots for a PI. The apparatus may receive the PI in the single preconfigured mini-slot of a first slot of the plurality of slots. In certain aspects, the PI may include a resource index associated with a reduced transmission power by the UE. In certain other aspects, the resource index may include one or more resources in a second slot. The apparatus may transmit at least one packet with the reduced transmission power on the one or more resources in the second slot or refraining from transmitting the at least one packet on the one or more resources in the second slot.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with repetitions, including techniques for signaling the number of PDCCH repetitions, the hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) timeline processing with PDCCH repetitions, and the demodulation reference signal (DMRS) structure for the repeated PDCCH. A method for wireless communications, by a user equipment (UE), includes determining a number of repetitions of a PDCCH. Each of the PDCCH repetitions has a same downlink control information (DCI) payload, a same aggregation level, and/or a grant for a same data channel allocation. The method includes monitoring for the PDCCH based on the determined number of repetitions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive multiple physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) in one or more slots along with data traffic, where one of the PDCCHs includes a downlink preemption indication (DLPI) signifying that a portion of the data traffic was preempted. In some cases, the UE may monitor, within a same slot, for both the data traffic and an additional PDCCH carrying the DLPI and then transmit, within the same slot, a feedback message based on attempting to decode the data traffic, taking into account the DLPI. Additionally, the UE may receive the data traffic via a first service, where the DLPI indicates a second service preempts the first service. In some cases, the DLPI may be transmitted based on the UE being capable of processing the data traffic and transmitting the feedback message within the same slot.

PUNCTURE RECOVERY AND RESOURCE RECLAIMING FOR MULTI-PRIORITY SCHEDULING

Abstract: Various techniques provide for identifying and transmitting a first transmission to a UE in a first transmission time interval (TTI), and puncturing a portion of the first transmission with a higher priority second transmission that has a shorter TTI than the first TTI. The punctured portion of the first transmission may then be transmitted in a subsequent portion of the first TTI, concurrently with an originally allocated portion of the first transmission for that subsequent portion of the TTI. A UE may identify the punctured portion of the first transmission, and identify that the punctured portion of the first transmission is being transmitted in the subsequent portion of the first TTI. The UE may decode the received transmissions and merge the punctured portion with other, non-punctured, portions of the first transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message indicating multiple contention-based resource sets dedicated for the transmission of scheduling requests, where each contention-based resource set is associated with one or more respective contentions. The one or more respective conditions may be associated with a packet delay threshold, a buffer size threshold, or a probability function. The UE may transmit a scheduling request to request uplink resources for the UE using a resource of a contention-based resource set based on satisfaction of the one or more respective conditions of the contention-based resource set. In some examples, a remaining packet delay budget of an uplink message at the UE may satisfy the packet delay threshold of the contention-resource set. As such, the UE may randomly select the resource, from the contention-based resource set, to use for transmission of the scheduling request.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for identification of a slot format for a set of slots where at least one slot format of the set is an subband full-duplex slot (e.g., includes uplink and downlink resources separated in a frequency domain). The base station may transmit one or more semi-persistent scheduling configurations to a UE. The UE may identify semi-persistent scheduling occasions for receiving a downlink communication based at least in part on the SPS configurations matching the format of the slot, the periodicity of the slot formats of the set, or other considerations. The UE and the base station may communicate based at least in part on the determined semi-persistent scheduling occasions.
