Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for paging occasion (PO) and paging early indication (PEI) configurations. In particular, the present disclosure provides techniques for configuring various paging parameters on different types of user equipments (UEs), including, such as, reduced capability (RedCap) UEs. For example, a network entity transmits signaling jointly configuring at least first and second types of UEs having different capabilities with a first set of paging parameters. The network entity transmits signaling that separately configures at least the first and second types of UEs with a second set of paging parameters. The network entity communicates with the first and the second types of UEs in accordance with the first and second set of paging parameters.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive first signaling, and may transmit a first wake-up signal (WUS) based on information associated with a channel, where the information may be determined based on receiving the first signaling. The UE may monitor one or more channels, during a duration, for one or more signals based on transmitting the first WUS. If the UE fails to receive the one or more signals via the one or more channels during the duration, the UE may transmit a second WUS after the duration. The UE may communicate second signaling with a network entity based on transmitting the first WUS based on the information and successfully receiving the one or more signals, or based on transmitting the second WUS after the duration and successfully receiving one or more additional signals.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration for an uplink message that may indicate for the UE to refrain from including DMRS in at least a first portion of the uplink message based on the DMRS configuration. The UE may encode the uplink message without the DMRS in at least the first portion of the uplink message in accordance with the DMRS configuration. The UE may transmit the uplink message based on encoding the uplink message, and a network entity may receive and decode the uplink message. In some examples, the network entity may receive signaling that includes a set of uplink messages from different UEs. As such, the network entity may decode each, using a respective Reed-Muller (RM) code in accordance with a multi-user decoding algorithm.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a configuration message indicating a configured grant-small data transfer (CG-SDT) group that includes the UE. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication of a capability of the UE to support a restricted bandwidth for data signaling. The UE may receive an indication of a bandwidth part for control signaling and an indication of a set of frequency domain resources for the data signaling. The set of frequency domain resources may correspond to a subset of the bandwidth part in accordance with the restricted bandwidth. The UE may communicate the control signaling over the bandwidth part and data signaling over the set of frequency domain resources. In some cases, the bandwidth restriction may correspond to a bandwidth size for the set of frequency domain resources or a number of resource blocks in the set of frequency domain resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Base stations may reduce energy consumption by minimizing the use of periodic signals such as the system information block one (SIB1), which a user equipment (UE) may use to perform a random access channel (RACH) procedure with a base station. A UE may transmit a wake-up signal to the base station requesting an SIB1. The base station may transmit a synchronization signal block (SSB) that indicates that the base station is not transmitting an SIB1, and the UE may transmit the cell wake-up signal in response. A base station may refrain from periodically transmitting SSBs. A UE may determine that it is within range of a base station and that it has not received an SSB. The UE may transmit a wake-up signal to the base station, and the base station may transmit an SSB and an SIB1 to the UE.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication of an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a reduced capability user equipment (UE) may receive signaling indicating a set of repetition levels for receiving control information from a base station and a blind detection threshold for decoding the control information. Upon receiving the signaling, the reduced capability UE may monitor a control channel candidate for the control information based on the set of repetition levels. Once the reduced capability UE detects the control information from the monitoring, the reduced capability UE may perform at least one blind detection on the control channel candidate based on the set of repetition levels and the blind detection threshold and receive the control information from the base station.
