Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A method for wireless communication is described that includes receiving, at a user equipment (UE), via a control channel, configuration information for communications between the UE and a wireless device over reserved resources. The method further includes identifying, from the configuration information, an indication of a channel state information (CSI) report periodicity and transmitting a CSI report for a data channel in accordance with the CSI report periodicity. Another method includes generating a sidelink control information (SCI) message including an indication of a presence or absence of a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) in a sidelink channel message and transmitting the sidelink control information message. Another method includes receiving a SCI message including an indication of a CSI-RS in a sidelink channel message, and generating and transmitting a CSI report for a data channel based at least in part on the indication.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for cooperative relay in sidelink networks are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a second UE, a groupcast signal comprising a resource allocation assigned to a plurality of sidelink UEs including the first UE. The example method also includes communicating, with a remote apparatus on a first resource included in the resource allocation, a first relay signal comprising at least a portion of the groupcast signal, in which the first relay signal corresponds to at least a portion of a second relay signal communicated with the remote apparatus on a second resource included in the resource allocation by at least one other sidelink UE of the plurality of sidelink UEs.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to transmitting sidelink channel state information (CSI) from one user equipment (UE) to another UE using a L1 signal. A first UE requests a CSI report from a second UE. The first UE sends a reference signal which the second UE measures to determine channel characteristics. The second UE forms a CSI report which includes a rank indicator, a channel quality indicator, and potentially a precoding matrix index indicator. The second UE forms the CSI report at the PHY level. The CSI report is included in reserved field(s) of a second stage sidelink control information (SCI-2). The first UE receives and processes the CSI report at a PHY level.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a source user equipment (UE) may transmit, on a sidelink interface, a first reference signal associated with the source UE. The source UE may receive, from a destination UE, a second reference signal associated with the destination UE based at least in part on the first reference signal. The source UE may perform a transmission to the destination UE based at least in part on a channel estimation operation performed based at least in part on the second reference signal. Numerous other aspects are provided

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may generate statistical modeling of sensing outcomes (e.g., may identify one or more measurement statistics), and may transmit values that are quantized based on the one or more measurement statistics. Measurement statistics may include one or more of mean and variance of sensing results (e.g., channel quality measurements such as signal to interference ratio (SIR)), auto-correlation of measurements or measurement statistics over time, auto-covariance, or the like. In some examples, a UE may incorporate channel measurement statistics into a waveform (e.g., the coordination report) or otherwise compress the measurements. The UE may measure its own self-interference, and may indicate (e.g., in the coordination message) resource availability that reflects the measured self-interference. A receiving UE may use the coordination message to schedule subsequent sidelink communications (e.g., with the transmitting UE or with other UEs).

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may receive, in a first broadcast message from a second UE, an indication of one or more sidelink resources in a resource selection window of a sidelink channel that are available for transmission by the second UE to a third UE. The UE may sense the sidelink channel. The UE may select one or more candidate sidelink resources that are available for a fourth UE to use for transmission to the first UE based at least in part on the indication in the broadcast message and the sensing of the sidelink channel. The UE may transmit, to the fourth UE in a second broadcast message, an indication of the candidate sidelink resources that are available for the fourth UE. Numerous other aspects are described.
