    Abstract: Various techniques and approaches described herein may be applied to control congestion at a session management (SM) function (SMF) based on at least one back-off timer maintained at a user equipment (UE). In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE may be configured to establish a protocol data unit (PDU) session with a SMF. The UE may be configured to determine whether a back-off timer associated with the PDU session is terminated. The UE may refrain from sending, to the SMF, data over a control plane associated with the PDU session when the back-off timer is unterminated. The UE may send, to the SMF, the data over the control plane associated with the PDU session when the back-off timer is terminated.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment, UE, may identify (305) that the UE is not connected with a first network to which the UE subscribes, and identify a fallback configuration (310). The UE may determine (315), based on the fallback configuration, a second network of one or more other networks with which the UE is to connect. The UE may attempt (320) to connect with the second network based on the fallback configuration and the UE not being connected with the first network. In some cases, a base station of a network may establish a connection with UEs based on receiving registration messages from the UEs in response to transmitting an indication that the network is available as a fallback network, identify a congestion level of the network and switch to a non-subscriber rejection mode in which the base station rejects connection with non-subscriber UEs.

A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may configure an indication associated with network slice information. The UE may determine, based on the indication, that the network slice information is subject to network slice-specific authentication and authorization (NSSAA). Additionally or alternatively, the UE may determine an authentication credential associated with network slice information, and transmit, to an access and mobility management function (AMF), an indication related to an availability of an authentication credential associated with the network slice information. The UE may access a network slice associated with the network slice information based on the NSSAA of the network slice information.

    Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium of wireless communication for a network node to transport signaling used to coordinate management of a RAN for local traffic between a first node and a UE across a wireless connection. The network node may establish a first wireless signaling connection between a first node and a second node. The network node may encapsulate or decapsulate traffic associated with a second wireless signaling connection within the first wireless signaling connection. The second wireless signaling connection corresponds to a non-F1 interface of a control plane or user plane network function that terminates at the first node. For instance, the network node may be a consumer premises equipment (CPE) serving a UE, a base station wirelessly serving the CPE, or a core network node providing control for the UE.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a registration request for restricted access (RA), wherein the registration request selectively includes an onboarding access request. The UE may selectively communicate with an onboarding network to authenticate and authorize a particular network based at least in part on whether the registration request includes the onboarding access request. The UE may complete the RA registration after transmitting the registration request and based at least in part on selectively communicating with the onboarding network to authenticate and authorize the particular network.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless communications system may support Ethernet frames that exclude a virtual local area network (VLAN) tag. A first device may receive a frame excluding a VLAN tag, and the first device may forward the frame to a second device. The second device may determine priority information (e.g., a default traffic class, a default frame priority) for the frame. In other examples, the first device may add a data tag (e.g., metadata indicating the priority information) to the frame. The first device may forward the frame to the second device, and the second device may remove the data tag from the frame. In either case, the second device may classify the frame according to a traffic class associated with a respective queue based on the priority information and may transmit the frame based on the traffic class and the respective queue.
