    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support signaling of network entities' phase noise inter-carrier interference (ICI) order for reducing user equipment (UE) phase noise cancelation complexity. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes obtaining a power spectral density (PSD) measurement of a phase noise mask of a network entity prior to deployment in the field. The network entity, after deployment, measures an integrated residual PSD measurement per candidate phase noise bandwidth size and transmits these integrated residual PSD measurements to a UE. The UE may then use the integrated residual PSD measurements to estimate phase noise for cancelation from network entity transmissions. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

A user equipment (UE) may monitor for a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) according to a default precoder, where the DMRS is associated with channel state feedback (CSF) information. The UE may perform a channel estimation based on the DMRS, and transmit an uplink message indicating one or more candidate precoders, where the one or more candidate precoders are selected based on the channel estimation. The UE may receive a downlink message indicating a precoder of the one or more candidate precoders based on transmitting the uplink message. The UE may then communicate with a network entity in accordance with the indicated precoder based on receiving the downlink message.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a request for a data transmission that includes multiple subsets of data each associated with a different constellation granularity. In response to the request, the base station may encode the data transmission using multiple different constellation granularities and may transit the encoded data transmission to the UE. For example, the UE may receive the data transmission including a first subset of data that was encoded by the base station using a first constellation granularity and a second subset of data that was encoded by the base station using a second constellation granularity. The UE may then iteratively estimate phase-noises associated with respective subsets of data and perform phase-noise correction operations on the entire data transmission based on the estimated phase-noises.

    Abstract: A first wireless device may receive, from a second wireless device, a transmission associated with an MLC scheme. The MLC scheme may include a plurality of bits with at least one first bit corresponding to a first level of the plurality of bits and at least one second bit corresponding to a second level of the plurality of bits. The at least one first bit may be coded with a first level of complexity, but the at least one second bit may be coded with either the first level of complexity or a second level of complexity, where the first level of complexity may be a higher level of complexity than the second level of complexity. The first wireless device may decode the at least one first bit and the at least one second bit using a decoder having a corresponding level of complexity.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may select a scrambling sequence to use per symbol to reduce variance in a non-linearity parameter for a power amplifier (PA) output between a data symbol and a pilot symbol based on a PA model for at least one pilot symbol or one or more parameters of the model. The receiving device may indicate a capability to blindly estimate the scrambling sequence the transmitting device selected to the transmitting device. If the transmitting device does not receive the capability message from the receiving device or if the capability message indicates the receiving device is not capable of blind estimation, the transmitting device may indicate the selected scrambling sequence to the receiving device. Otherwise, the transmitting device may not indicate the selected scrambling sequence to the receiving device, and the receiving device may blindly estimate the scrambling sequence.
