    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for slot aggregation in new radio (NR) systems. A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving radio resource control (RRC) signaling providing a semi-static configuration for transmission and/or reception of a repeated transport block (TB) and/or a different TB in each of a plurality of aggregated slots. The UE transmits or receives the TBs in the plurality of aggregated slots based on the semi-static configuration. Another method is provided in which the UE transmits and/or receives a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) in each of a plurality of aggregated slots, each DMRS associated with a repeated TB or a different TB in the slot. The UE determines, based on received signaling, whether the DMRS use a same precoder or a different precoder and modulates and/or demodulates the TBs in the plurality of aggregated slots based on the determination.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe an indication channel for wireless communications that indicates whether an ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) transmission is present in an enhanced mobile broad band (eMBB) slot. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication channel identifying one or more resources defined by time domain parts and frequency domain parts that have been punctured by an Ultra-Reliable Low latency Communication (URLLC) transmission. The number of frequency domain parts may be greater than or equal to two. The UE may determine a number of resource block groups (RBGs) in an active band width part (BWP) of the UE. The UE may map the RBGs in the BWP among each of a number of sub-bands equal to the number of frequency domain parts based on a pre-defined rule.

    Abstract: In order to improve the selection of search space candidates for a downlink control channel, an apparatus determines a set of decoding candidates of a lower aggregation level for a downlink control channel based on a random selection from a plurality of potential decoding candidates, wherein the plurality of potential decoding candidates are defined from a second set of decoding candidates of a higher aggregation level. The apparatus then attempts to decode the downlink control channel based on determined sets of decoding candidates of different aggregation levels. The downlink control channel may comprise a PDCCH.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to wireless communications utilizing discontinuous reception (DRX). Disclosed methods and apparatus include providing a grant indicator in a transmission from a base station to a user equipment (UE), where indicator notifies the UE of a grant of data during a subsequent discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle in the at least one UE. Additionally, a tracking reference signal (TRS), which may be aperiodic (A-TRS), is transmitted prior to an on-duration time of the DRX cycle, where the TRS is usable by the UE for updating a tracking loop and also can be referenced by the indicator. In this manner, the combination of the grant indicator and the TRS affords a UE sufficient time for updating a UE tracking loop before the DRX cycle. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining rate matching behavior for a plurality of control resource sets (CORESETs) is provided. A base station (BS) bundles a plurality of CORESETs into a global resource set. The BS configures the global resource set for a User Equipment (UE). The BS determines resources assigned to a downlink data channel overlap at least a portion of the global resource set and determines whether data on the downlink data channel is to be rate matched around the global resource set or is to use resources in the global resource set. In some aspects, a device may determine a shared demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration for a plurality of resource blocks of a channel, wherein a frequency domain associated with the plurality of resource blocks overlaps for a control resource of the channel and a data resource of the channel, and wherein the plurality of resource blocks are associated with a shared precoding scheme. The device may transmit a DMRS based at least in part on determining the shared DMRS configuration to enable a receiver to receive the plurality of resource blocks of the channel.
