Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, information identifying a sub-band full duplex (SBFD) pattern, wherein the information identifying the SBFD pattern includes an indicator of whether the SBFD pattern is for a UE SBFD mode or a network node SBFD mode. The UE may communicate, with the network node, on one or more sub-bands in accordance with the SBFD pattern and the indicator of whether the SBFD pattern is for the UE SBFD mode or the network node SBFD mode. Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a configuration for switching between a full frequency bandwidth slot in a half duplex mode, and a partial frequency bandwidth slot in a subband based base station full duplex (SBFD) mode.
