Abstract: A vibrating body unit includes a vibration generator, a vibration transmitter and first amplitude enlarger. The vibration generator generates ultrasonic vibration whose amplitude has a predetermined correlation with a frequency. The vibration transmitter has a proximal end and a distal end while the vibration generator is attached from a proximal side, and transmits the ultrasonic vibration to a distal side in a longitudinal axis direction. At least one first amplitude enlarger is provided in the vibration transmitter, and enlarges the amplitude of the ultrasonic vibration at a first amplitude enlargement rate in a direction of transmission of the ultrasonic vibration, the first amplitude enlargement rate having a correlation with the frequency opposite to the predetermined correlation.

Abstract: An ultrasonic probe includes a treatment portion that has a through-hole or concave portions. The through-hole extends from a first outer surface to a second outer surface facing in an opposite direction to that of the first outer surface. The concave portions include a first concave portion on the first outer surface, and a second concave portion on the second outer surface. The treatment portion includes a blade formed along an edge of an opening of the through-hole or the first concave portion. An outer relay surface extends from the blade to the second outer surface and faces away from a center axis of the through-hole or the concave portions. A distance from the center axis to the blade is greater than or equal to a distance from the center axis to the outer relay surface at a position between the blade and the second outer surface.

Abstract: An ultrasonic probe includes a probe main body section to which the ultrasonic vibration is transmitted from its proximal end to its distal end; a curving section which is bent relative to the probe main body section; and a treating section which is continuous with a distal portion of the curving section to treat the knee joint. The curving section has a central axis which is bent at an angle of 5 degrees or more and 8 degrees or less relative to the longitudinal axis of the probe main body section, and is always disposed in a projection plane of the probe main body section, when the probe main body section is seen along a longitudinal axis from the proximal end toward the distal end.

Abstract: In an ultrasonic probe a tapered section in which a sectional area perpendicular to a longitudinal axis decreases from a proximal side toward a distal side is provided on the distal side with respect to a probe main body section. When the probe main body section and the tapered section vibrate in an established frequency range, a most distal vibration node positioned most distally among vibration nodes is positioned on the proximal side with respect to a proximal end of the tapered section, and a ⅛ wavelength of the vibration is smaller than a taper dimension from the proximal end the tapered section to a distal end of the tapered section in a longitudinal axis direction.

The curved extending section includes a first curved outer surface facing the first intersecting direction, a second curved outer surface facing a second intersecting direction opposite of the first intersecting direction, a third curved outer surface facing a first width direction perpendicular to the first and second intersecting directions, and a fourth curved outer surface facing a second width direction opposite of the first width direction. A cutting surface on the second curved outer surface is different from a cutting surface on each of the third curved outer surface and the fourth curved outer surface in extending pattern of the grooves.
