Abstract: An apparatus includes: at least one processor; and at least one memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to: transmit, to a network node, a random access preamble during a random access procedure; and receive, from the network node, a message including an indication, wherein the indication indicates one of: one random access response that accommodates a bandwidth limitation of the terminal device, wherein the bandwidth limitation of the terminal device is within a wider system bandwidth, or multiple random access responses comprising a first random access response that does not accommodate the bandwidth limitation of the terminal device, and a second random access response that accommodates the bandwidth limitation of the terminal device.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and a computer-readable storage medium are provided for NG based context release and data forwarding for multi-hop mobility. In an example implementation, the method may include a core network entity receiving a first message from a first network node, the first message including at least one of a user equipment context release request and a data forwarding request and detecting the at least one of the user equipment context release request and the data forwarding request from the first message. The method may further include sending a second message including at least one of a user equipment context release command and data forwarding information to a second network node based at least on the detected at least one of the user equipment context release request and the data forwarding request.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to apparatuses, methods, devices and computer readable storage medium for device measurement based mobility handling in ambient internet of things. The method including at a first apparatus, the first apparatus receives, from a second apparatus, a polling signal at least indicating an identifier of the second apparatus and a period of a polling cycle of the polling signal, wherein the first apparatus enables a communication with the second apparatus by backscattering mechanism; the first apparatus determines a query occasion for a backscattering communication; and the first apparatus initiates, according to the identifier of the second apparatus, an attachment procedure to the second apparatus based on at least one of: a signal strength measurement on the polling signal, or the query occasion of the backscattering communication.

Abstract: Various example embodiments relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable mediums for cell discontinuous transmission or reception. A terminal device may receive a cell configuration for discontinuous transmission or reception from a network device. The configuration may define a discontinuous transmission or reception pattern including an active period and a non-active period, a first periodicity for transmission or reception during the active period, and a second periodicity for transmission or reception during the non-active period. When the discontinuous transmission or reception is activated, the terminal device may perform reception or transmission of a signal or channel in the first periodicity during the active period, and perform reception or transmission of the signal or channel in the second periodicity during the non-active period.

Abstract: A terminal device, initially, maintains, in at least one memory, a configuration for a Radio Resource Control, RRC, inactive state. The configuration includes information on a radio access network notification area, RNA. The terminal device, then, acquires information on an expected latency of incoming RRC messages within the RNA. In response to triggering a RRC connection resume procedure, the terminal device performs the following: First, the terminal device transmits a RRC connection resume request to a target access node and starts a timer defined based on the expected latency. In response to the timer expiring, the terminal device initiates monitoring of incoming RRC messages. In response to receiving a RRC connection resume message, the terminal device initiates the RRC connected state.

Abstract: During an RRC Connection setup or resume procedure, a user equipment may explicitly identify itself to the network using Msg3. Rather than using the spare bit or including additional bits in Msg3, one or more values of the LCID field of the MAC sub-header of the MAC PDU may be used to identify a reduced capability user equipment. The one or more LCID field values that can identify a reduced capability user equipment may also be configured to identify a common control channel service data unit size. A plurality of LCID field values may be defined to identify varies types of RedCap UEs.
