Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) assisted communication. For example, RIS assisted blockage avoidance for low power internet of things (IoT) devices. An apparatus performs communication with a network device via a RIS, using at least one of a first channel or a second channel, wherein the first channel is for a transmission to the RIS and the second channel is for a reception from the RIS. In this way, it is possible to help reconnecting an IoT device with the network that has lost its connection with a gNB by using an RIS. It is also provided a low-cost and low-power connectivity solution for low-power IoT devices.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a sidelink (SL) positioning measurement based on a plurality of measurement samples. In particular, a location server requests a receiving (RX) device to report SL positioning measurement that has been made from a plurality of measurement samples. The RX UE requests a transmitting (TX) UE to transmit a plurality of SL positioning reference signals (PRSs) through a plurality of SL PRS resources so that the RX UE can obtain multiple SL positioning measurement samples. In this way, it can improve SL positioning performance. The solution allows for high accuracy measurements and hence enables high accuracy SL positioning.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to apparatuses, methods, and computer readable storage media for dynamic configuration of measurement parameters for sidelink positioning. In the method, a first apparatus receives, from a second apparatus, a plurality of measurement configurations for sidelink positioning. Moreover, in accordance with a determination that a first trigger condition defined the plurality of measurement configurations is met, the first apparatus determines a first measurement configuration corresponding to the first trigger condition from the plurality of measurement configurations. Thereby, the proposed solutions can advantageously improve the positioning accuracy.
