    Abstract: A steel sheet has a predetermined chemical composition, in which a metallographic structure in a surface layer region ranging from a surface to a position of 20 μm from the surface in a sheet thickness direction consists of ferrite and a secondary phase having a volume fraction of 1.0% to 15.0%, the metallographic structure in an internal region ranging from a position of more than 20 μm from the surface in the sheet thickness direction to a ¼ thickness position from the surface in the sheet thickness direction consists of ferrite and a secondary phase having a volume fraction of 5.0% to 25.0%, the volume fraction of the secondary phase in the surface layer region is less than the volume fraction of the secondary phase in the internal region, and in the surface layer region, the average grain size of the secondary phase is 0.5 μm to 4.0 μm, and a texture in which an XODF{001}/{111} as the ratio of the intensity of {001} orientation to an intensity of {111} orientation in the ferrite is 0.70 to 2.50 is included.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a hot-stamping formed article made of steel, in which the hot-stamping formed article has at least one of a tensile strength of 1200 MPa or more and a martensitic steel structure and includes a first portion, a corner portion, and a second portion, which are sequentially continuous from one end portion to the other end portion in a longitudinal direction, each of the first portion, the corner portion, and the second portion includes a top sheet and two vertical walls connected to the top sheet when viewed in a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the second portion includes a first outwardly-extending flange adjacent to the vertical wall, and the corner portion includes a vertical flange extending from the vertical wall of the first portion, a second outwardly-extending flange adjacent to the vertical wall located on an outer peripheral side of the corner portion out of the two vertical walls, and a transition portion in which the vertical flange and the second outwardly-extending flange are continuous.

    Abstract: A structural member for automobiles to be disclosed includes a press formed product. The press formed product includes two vertical wall sections and a top plate section that joins the two vertical wall sections to each other. At least part of the top plate section is provided with a protruding section that is a steel sheet extending from the top plate section and so folded over against itself as to protrude. The protruding section protrudes from the top plate section toward the interior of the press formed product and extends along the longitudinal direction of the press formed product. With the thus configured structural member, a structural member for automobiles that has a good characteristic in a three-point bending test is provided.

    Abstract: A front pillar outer includes a first member and a second member. The first member includes a first glass-surface-side flange part and a first door-side flange part. The sheet thickness of the second member is thinner than the sheet thickness of the first member. The second member includes a second glass-surface-side flange part and a second door-side flange part. The first door-side flange part protrudes further towards the rear end of the front pillar outer than the first glass-surface-side flange part and a first main body part, and overlaps with the second door-side flange part. The second glass-surface-side flange part overlaps with a rearward region of the first glass-surface-side flange part. A second main body part overlaps with a rearward region of the first main body part. In a region in which the first member overlaps with the second member, the first member is joined to the second member.
