Abstract: Presented systems and methods facilitate efficient and effective communication link adaptation. In one embodiment, a system comprises: a first communication device configured to forward link adaptation information, and a second communication component configured to receive the link adaptation information. The system is part of a wireless local area network (WLAN). The link adaptation information can include Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) Feed Back (MFB) related information in a communication frame. The communication frame can include a first field and a second field. The first field indicates the information is being forwarded as unsolicited MFB information or is associated with a solicitation request for the MFB information. The second first field indicates whether the information is MFB information or a request for MFB information.

Abstract: Techniques pertaining to transmission protection with static puncturing in wireless communications are described. An apparatus (e.g., a station (STA)) receives a control frame with bandwidth signaling that is transmitted in a channel width of the control frame including one or more non-punctured non-primary subchannels within the channel width. The apparatus then determines the one or more non-punctured non-primary subchannels within the channel width of the control frame and also determines whether to transmit a response control frame responsive to receiving the control frame. Depending on a result of the determining, the apparatus either refrains from transmission of the response control frame or transmits the response control frame in at least one subchannel within the channel width of the control frame.

Abstract: A multi-link device (MLD) includes a transmit (TX) circuit, a receive (RX) circuit, and a control circuit. The control circuit controls the RX circuit to receive a first frame under an operation mode parameter with a first setting, control the TX circuit to transmit a second frame responsive to the first frame under the operation mode parameter with the first setting, and after the second frame is transmitted, controls the RX circuit to receive at least one physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) under the operation mode parameter with a second setting, wherein the second setting is different from the first setting.

Abstract: Various techniques and schemes pertaining to extremely-high throughput (EHT) ultra-high reliability (UHR) dynamic multi-link switching in wireless communications are described. A first access point (AP) affiliated with a first AP multi-link device (MLD) switches from operating on a first link to operating on a second link in a multi-link operation responsive to detecting the first link as busy. Then, the first AP transmits data to a first station (STA) affiliated with a first STA MLD during a transmission opportunity (TXOP) on the second link. The AP switches back to operating on the first link upon expiry of a period during which the first link is busy.

Abstract: During association between an access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) and a non-AP MLD, the non-AP MLD indicates a first capability allocation of a first combination of affiliated stations for a first combination of enabled links on the non-AP MLD, and indicates a second capability allocation of a second combination of affiliated stations for a second combination of enabled links on the non-AP MLD. For example, the first combination of affiliated stations and the second combination of affiliated stations have different numbers of stations in the non-AP MLD, and the first combination of enabled links and the second combination of enabled links have different numbers of enabled links. Hence, during the association between the non-AP MLD and the AP MLD, capabilities of different non-AP station combinations corresponding to different enabled link combinations supported by the non-AP MLD are signaled to the AP MLD.
