The method includes transmitting, to a first station, a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) containing a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) request (MRQ) and receiving, from the first station, a MCS feedback (MFB) in response to the MRQ, wherein the first station is one of destination stations of MU-MIMO transmission performed by the access point, and the MFB includes a recommended MCS value computed, by the first station, on the assumption that the first station, as a member of the destination stations, receives data transmitted over at least one spatial stream allocated to the first station in MU-MIMO transmission.
Abstract:
A method is provided for transmitting a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) in a wireless communication system. For a first data stream associated with a first PPDU to be transmitted via a first channel, a wireless device includes a first data block, a first header indicating a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS), and a first physical layer service data unit (PSDU) in the first data stream. For a second data stream associated with a second PPDU to be transmitted via a second channel, the wireless device includes a second data block, a second header indicating a second MCS and a second PSDU in the second data stream. The wireless device performs a padding procedure to at least one of the first data stream and the second data stream, and transmits the first data stream and the second data stream by using the first PPDU and the second PPDU.
Abstract:
A method, performed by a transceiver, is provided for channel sounding in a wireless local area network. A null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame is received from a transmitter to initiate the channel sounding. A null data packet (NDP) is received from the transmitter, the NDP following the NDPA frame. First feedback data split into a plurality of segments in a single aggregated medium access control protocol data unit (A-MPDU) is transmitted. A retransmission request is received from the transmitter, the retransmission request including a segment retransmission bitmap field indicating at least one segment of the plurality of segments for retransmission. In response to the retransmission request, second feedback data including the at least one segment indicated in the segment retransmission bitmap field is transmitted.

The method comprises transmitting a request to send (RTS) frame to stations (STAs) included in a multicast group by using an omni-directional antenna, and receiving a clear to send (CTS) frame transmitted by the STAs included in the multicast group in response to the RTS frame, and transmitting the multicast frame to the STAs included in the multicast group by using a directional antenna.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods of transmitting and receiving a frame, which are performed by a station operating in a power save mode in a wireless LAN system. The method includes: transmitting a poll frame requesting the transmission of a buffered frame to an access point AP, wherein the poll frame includes a sustain time field that indicates a service section; and receiving at least one buffered frame from the AP within the sustain time in response to the poll frame. A method is provided for transmitting and receiving a frame executed by a station (STA) operating in a power sub mode in a wireless LAN system. The method includes transmitting a first poll frame requesting the transmission of a buffered frame to an access point AP, receiving an acknowledgement ACK frame in response to the first poll frame, and receiving at least one buffered frame from the AP.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting a data frame by a station in a wireless local area network (WLAN), A station obtains a transmission opportunity (TXOP) for a bandwidth. The TXOP indicates an interval of time during which the station has a right to initiate frame exchange sequences onto a wireless medium. The station selects a transmit bandwidth parameter of a non-initial data unit of a plurality of data units from available bandwidth parameters. The available bandwidth parameters include a first available bandwidth parameter which is same as a transmit bandwidth parameter of a preceding data unit of the plurality of data units and a second available bandwidth parameter which is narrower than a transmit bandwidth parameter of the preceding data unit. The station transmits, during the TXOP, the non-initial data unit according to the transmit bandwidth parameter of the non-initial data unit.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for transceiving data in a wireless LAN system on the basis of a station (STA). The method comprises: receiving an allocation for an association ID (AID) by associating with an access point (AP); and exchanging data with the AP during the channel access period for an STA group comprising the STA. The STA group is grouped on the basis of the AID.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for performing channel sounding by means of an access point (AP) in a wireless LAN system. The method includes the steps of transmitting a null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame to notify that an NDP is to be transmitted, transmitting the NDP, and receiving a feedback frame from a station (STA). The NDP includes a signal field. The signal field of the NDP is transmitted through two orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols. One of the two OFDM symbols is a repeated OFDM symbol signifying that the other is repeated.
