Abstract:
A method for a terminal performing redistribution target selection in a wireless communication system, and an apparatus supporting the same are provided. The terminal receives redistribution parameters from a network, and performs redistribution target selection based on UE_ID, wherein the UE_ID can be a function of a time varying index and a UE identity.
Abstract:
Provided are a method for performing paging by a mobility management entity (MME) in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for supporting the same. The MME comprises: receiving an nB from a base station; calculating a paging frame (PF) on the basis of the nB; and transmitting a paging message to the base station on the basis of a paging hyperframe (PH) and the calculated PF, wherein the PH may indicate a number of a hyper system frame in which the paging message is to be transmitted, and the PH may indicate a number of a system frame in which the paging message is to be transmitted.
Abstract:
The present specification proposes a method for receiving system information by a user equipment (UE) configured with an extended discontinuous reception (eDRX) in a wireless communication system. Specifically, the method includes the step of receiving a paging message including an indicator indicating system information modification in a modification period within an active time of the eDRX; determining whether to receive the system information by comparing the active time with the modification period; and receiving the system information in a next modification period when it is determined to receive the system information.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and device for allowing a terminal to transmit, to a base station, uplink data in a wireless communication system. According to the present invention, the terminal: performs a random access procedure with a base station; sets transmission power for transmitting first uplink data; and transmits, to the base station, the first uplink data according to the set transmission power, wherein the transmission power can be set according to an altitude of the terminal.
Abstract:
A method and a device for determining an evolved packet system (EPS) mobility management (EMM) mode in a wireless communication system are disclosed. More specifically, a method for determining, by a user equipment (UE), an EMM mode in a wireless communication system includes receiving, by the UE in an EMM-IDLE mode with suspend indication, from a base station a system information block (SIB) including information that a serving cell of the UE does not support user plane (UP) cellular Internet of Things (CIoT) EPS optimization; storing the information that the serving cell does not support the UP CIoT EPS optimization; and maintaining the EMM-IDLE mode with suspend indication if a procedure using an initial non-access stratum (NAS) message is not triggered and the serving cell is changed to a cell supporting the UP CIoT EPS optimization.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for suspending/resuming NAS signaling in a wireless communication system. Specifically, a method for a user equipment (UE) to suspend/resume non-access stratum (NAS) signaling connection in a wireless communication system comprises: a step in which when a NAS layer of the UE receives, from a radio resource control (RRC) layer, an indication that RRC connection is suspended, the UE enters an evolved packet system (EPS) mobility management (EMM)-idle mode involving a suspension indication; and a step in which when a procedure using a first NAS message is triggered, the RRC layer of the UE is requested to resume the RRC connection, wherein the request comprises a cause of RC establishment and a call type, and when the UE is in a narrow band (NB)-S1 mode, the request may further comprise data volume information of the first NAS message.
Abstract:
In a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention, in which MME and eNB are unsynchronized, a method for the MME to transmit a paging message to a terminal may comprise: a step for transmitting to the eNB, support information which includes an identifier for the terminal and an eDRX cycle; a step for receiving from the eNB, a Paging Info Response message as a response to the support information, wherein the Paging Info Response message includes the time remaining until the next paging of the terminal, such time being calculated based on the support information; and a step for setting the remaining time as an initial eDRX timer value, and transmitting the paging message to the eNB when the eDRX timer expires.
Abstract:
A user equipment according to the present invention transmits a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU), containing the RRC message and a data volume and power headroom (DV-PH) report but no BSR, using a uplink grant received in a random access response.
