    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to method and apparatus for failure notification in wireless communications. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method performed by a first wireless device in a wireless communication system comprises: detecting a failure of a backhaul link; performing a connection re-establishment attempt upon detecting the failure of the backhaul link; and transmitting a failure notification to a second wireless device based on a determination that the connection re-establishment attempt fails.

    Abstract: A radio link control (RLC) entity of a transmitting device receives a first RLC service data unit (SDU) from an upper layer of the transmitting device. If the RLC entity receives, from the upper layer, a discard indication to discard the first RLC SDU, the RLC entity checks whether the first RLC SDU has been submitted to a lower layer of the transmitting device. The RLC entity discards the first RLC SDU if neither the first RLC SDU nor a segment of the first RLC SDU has been submitted to the lower layer.

    Abstract: The present invention constructs L RLC PDUs, where L is larger than 1; and submit the L RLC PDUs to a medium access control (MAC) layer for a transmission opportunity. The L RLC PDUs include a first RLC PDU having a poll to trigger status reporting at a receiving device and a second RLC PDU not having the poll and having a highest sequence number (SN) among SNs of the L RLC PDUs.
