The second washing apparatus includes: a tub that holds water and has an opening at a top that is accessible through the second opening of the cabinet; a tub cover that covers the top of the tub and defines an inlet through which the tub is accessible; a tub door on the tub cover that opens or closes the inlet of the tub cover separately from the second cabinet door opening or closing the second opening; a drum inside the tub configured to rotate about a vertical shaft; and a first sensor that generates a signal based on the tub door being open.
Abstract:
An conditioner including a compressor that compresses refrigerant, an outdoor unit fan that blows out the air heat-exchanged by an outdoor heat exchanger, a noise sensor that measures noise, a data part that saves noise data measured by the noise sensor, a control part that performs a low noise operation by distinguishing between ambient noise and noise made by the air conditioner based on noise measurements from the noise sensor, wherein the control part sets a target noise level according to the ambient noise, changes the operational settings of the compressor and outdoor unit fan, and controls the operation to ensure that the noise from the air conditioner does not exceed an environmental noise regulatory value.
Abstract:
A laundry treating apparatus may include a cabinet detachably provided on a first treating apparatus exhibiting a laundry treating apparatus and forming an external appearance of the laundry treating apparatus. A drawer may be provided to be withdrawn from the cabinet and an input hole may be formed thereon. A tub provided within the drawer body may store wash water. A detergent supply unit may be provided to be withdrawn from the drawer body toward a center of the input hole and provide a space for storing detergent. A water supply unit may supply wash water to the detergent supply unit to supply the detergent stored in the detergent supply unit to the tub body.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a laundry treating apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a main-drum and an auxiliary-drum selectively mounted on or separated from the main-drum. The method may comprise: a main laundry quantity detection operation for detecting a laundry quantity in the main-drum via rotation of a pulsator disposed in the main-drum; and an auxiliary laundry quantity detection operation for detecting a laundry quantity in the auxiliary-drum by driving the main-drum, wherein the auxiliary laundry quantity detection operation is performed based on the main laundry quantity detected in the main laundry quantity detection operation.
Abstract:
There is disclosed an outdoor unit an outdoor unit that may attach a cover to a case by using a magnetic member and have an empty space formed between the case and the cover as large as the thickness of the magnetic member, wherein air or a sound-proof or meta material may be filled in the empty space and a cover for covering the case of the outdoor unit may include several pieces that are detachably connected with each other like Lego pieces, and the cover may be attached to the other area of an outer surface of the outdoor unit except the area having an inlet for sucking external air and an outlet hole for discharging the external air drawn into the outdoor unit via the inlet outside again.
Abstract:
A laundry treating apparatus includes: a tub; a drum; an agitator disposed in the drum; a stator; a rotor configured to rotate relative to the stator; a drum-rotating shaft coupled to the drum; an agitator-rotating shaft coupled to the rotor and the agitator; a first serration disposed at an end of the agitator-rotating shaft; a second serration disposed at an end of the drum-rotating shaft; a fixed body fixed between the tub and the rotor; a support body rotatably disposed within the fixed body; a body-driving system configured to move the support body relative to the fixed body; and a shaft-joint configured to reciprocate between a first point and a second point of the support body. The shaft-joint is configured to engage the first serration to the second serration at the first point, and decouple the first serration from the second serration at the second point.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of controlling a laundry treating apparatus comprising a tub configured to hold wash water, a drum mounted in the tub, a pulsator mounted in the drum, a sub-drum coupled to the drum, the sub-drum being configured to hold wash water, and a drive unit configured to rotate the drum and the pulsator. The method comprises a water current forming step comprising performing a basket motion and a pulsate motion and a cooling step comprising lowering the temperature of the drive unit. The basket motion is configured to form water current in the wash water held in the tub and in the sub-drum simultaneously. The pulsate motion is configured to form water current in wash water held in the drum while the pulsator is driven. A performance timing of the cooling step is preset in at least one of the wash cycle or the rinse cycle.
