Abstract: An example network system includes In one example, a network system includes a service orchestrator for managing a mobile network. The service orchestrator is configured to: receive, from a centralized network controller (CNC) for a time sensitive networking (TSN) application, TSN configuration data for a TSN flow between two end station devices for the TSN application; generate, based on the TSN configuration data, an intent to create a network slice in the mobile network to transport packets for the TSN flow; provision the network with the network slice based on the intent, wherein the network slice is associated with slice identification data; and output the slice identification data to cause a user equipment (UE) device attached to the mobile network to map packets for the TSN flow, received from one of the two end station devices, to the network slice.

Abstract: Techniques are described for detecting failure of one or more virtual computing environments and causing a migration of workloads. In some examples, a computing system includes a storage medium and processing circuitry having access to the storage medium. The processing circuitry is configured to communicate with a plurality of virtual computing environments (VCEs), including a first VCE and a second VCE, wherein each of the plurality of VCEs is operated by a different public cloud provider. The processing circuitry is further configured to deploy a group of workloads to the first VCE, detect a failure of at least a portion of the first VCE, and output, to the first VCE and responsive to detecting the failure, an instruction to transfer a set of workloads of the group of workloads to the second VCE to thereby cause a migration of the set of workloads to the second VCE.

Abstract: A virtual port group abstraction can facilitate automated configuration of devices in a data center. For example, a data center administrator can define a virtual port group to include a set of logical and physical interfaces for devices allocated to a particular department or other group within a company. An administrator for the department can then utilize a user interface to perform actions with respect to the virtual port group. The actions can include configuration actions, modeling actions and/or deployment actions. An action received by a network management controller such as a Software-Defined Networking (SDN) controller can be converted into the appropriate actions for the relevant logical and physical interfaces that are configured to be part of the virtual port group.

Abstract: A method includes deploying a network device within a fabric having a management network by attaching the network device through the management network to a port of a role allocator, wherein the role allocator includes one or more ports designated as first level port connections and one or more other ports designated as second level port connections. Abstract: An example method includes determining, by a network controller, based on a high-level data model, vendor-agnostic device information for a first network device, translating the vendor-agnostic device information into vendor-specific device information, sending, to the first network device, first configuration information included in the vendor-specific device information to cause the first network device to switch into a maintenance mode and enable diversion of network traffic from the first network device to a second network device, responsive to verifying that the first network device has diverted the traffic, initiating maintenance procedures on the first network device while the first network device is in the maintenance mode, and sending, to the first network device, second configuration information included in the vendor-specific device information to cause the first network device to switch out of the maintenance mode and enable reversion of network traffic from the second device to the first network device.
