Abstract:
A logarithmic amplifier includes an operational amplifier, an element for logarithmic conversion purposes connected to a feedback circuit of the operational amplifier, an oscillation prevention circuit having a capacitor connected in parallel with the logarithmic conversion element, and a control circuit for controlling the oscillation prevention circuit in such a way that the amount of feedback by way of the oscillation prevention circuit is reduced as an input current to the operational amplifier becomes smaller. To improve the high-speed response characteristics of the logarithmic operational amplifier, the operational amplifier is made up of a composite amplifier consisting of an FET input type operational amplifier and a bipolar input type operational amplifier.

A metal corner fitting for a wooden picture frame having two leg pieces, the leg pieces having screw slits thereon which form an angle .alpha. between the back thereof and the back of a picture frame with the outside edge of the leg pieces making contact with the back of the frame piece. The screw slits extend through the leg pieces at a slight angle so that they are inclined toward the corner portion of the corner metal fitting at an angle .beta..
Abstract:
White light and excitation light are applied to an internal body part. An electronic endoscope captures a normal image of the internal body part irradiated with the white light, and a special image of autofluorescence emitted from living body tissue of the internal body part irradiated with the excitation light. An object distance detector detects an object distance between a CCD and an inspection area of the internal body part based on the normal image. A binning processing section applies a binning process to the special image. There are two types of binning processes, i.e. an intensity adjustment process and a resolution adjustment process. In the intensity adjustment process, the binning number is increased with increase in the object distance. In the resolution adjustment process, the binning number is decreased with increase in the object distance. Which process to perform is determined by operation on a processing type selector.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for easily and at high speed re-encrypting data recorded on a magnetic recording medium when the data is encrypted using an encryption key and the encryption key is changed. A track where effective user data is not recorded is set as a first reserved track, then data is read out from the first updating source track and decrypted using a first encryption key KEY 1, which is reencrypted using a second encryption key KEY 2 and recorded in the first reserved track, next, the first updating source track is set as a second reserved track, and a second updating source track is set, and the encryption key is updated by repeating these steps until all tracks to be subjected to the key updating processing have been subjected to the key updating processing.
Abstract:
Stimulating rays containing red light and infrared rays are reflected from a reference plate, which has reflection characteristics to the infrared rays approximately identical with those of a stimulable phosphor sheet, and which is free from characteristics of emitting light when being exposed to the stimulating rays. The stimulating rays reflected from the reference plate are received with a light receiving device via a cut-off filter for transmitting light emitted by the sheet and blocking the red light, and an infrared ray image signal representing the infrared ray components of the stimulating rays is acquired. The infrared ray image signal is subtracted from a radiation image signal representing a radiation image stored on the stimulable phosphor sheet.
Abstract:
An image signal is read out by use of a stimulable phosphor sheet having a layer of stimulable phosphor which emits stimulated emission in proportion to the stored energy of radiation upon exposure to stimulating light and a solid image sensor having a photoconductive material layer which exhibits electric conductivity upon exposure to the stimulated emission from the stimulable phosphor sheet. Stimulating light is caused to scan a stimulable phosphor sheet which has been exposed to radiation and has stored an image, the photoconductive material layer is caused to be exposed to stimulated emission emitted from the stimulable phosphor sheet upon exposure to the stimulating light. Then electric charges generated in the photoconductive material layer upon exposure to the stimulated emission is detected by applying an electric field to the photoconductive material layer. The stimulable phosphor sheet has a layer of stimulable phosphor which is stimulated by stimulating light in a wavelength range of not shorter than 600 nm and emits stimulated emission in a wavelength range of not longer than 500 nm. The solid image sensor has a photoconductive material layer whose major component is a-Se, and the electric field is such as to generate an avalanche amplification effect in the photoconductive material layer.
Abstract:
According to the present invention, there is provided a disinfection system for a radiation image conversion panel, a radiation image conversion film, and/or a light shielding bag that can be used to wrap such a radiation image conversion film therein including a disinfection unit which applies at least a disinfection treatment to a radiation image conversion panel, and an image reading apparatus including the disinfection system. In the disinfection system for a radiation image conversion panel, preferably the disinfection treatment by the disinfection unit is at least one of a heat treatment, an ultraviolet irradiation treatment, a chemical application treatment or a gas treatment.
Abstract:
A radiation image read-out apparatus includes a plurality of radiation image convertor panels superposed one on another in a direction in which radiation passing through an object propagates. A separator separates the superposed radiation image convertor panels exposed to the radiation passing through the object from one another by moving in a parallel displacement and/or rotating about an axis on a plane parallel to the surfaces of the radiation image convertor panels one or more of the superposed radiation image convertor panels relatively to the others. A single detecting head detects stimulated emission emitted from each of the radiation image convertor panels separated by the separator.
Abstract:
An image signal representing radiation image information on an object stored on a stimulable phosphor sheet is read out by scanning the stimulable phosphor sheet with a stimulating light beam and photoelectrically detecting light emitted from the stimulable phosphor sheet upon stimulation thereof by a photodetector having a photoelectric surface. A variable transmittance medium whose transmittance to the light emitted from the stimulable phosphor sheet upon stimulation thereof is variable continuously or stepwise is inserted into the optical path of the light between the stimulable phosphor sheet and the photoelectric surface of the photodetector The transmittance of the variable transmittance medium is changed according to the amount of light emitted from the stimulable phosphor sheet upon stimulation thereof so that the photoelectric surface is not saturated by an excessive amount of light impinging thereupon.
